Hi! I am new to marketing and just learning how to do things! I have a friend who needs to raise money for brain surgery and JOE VITALE has agreed to help me promote her web site for donations for her surgery! She is a disabled 28 year old single mom. Only problem is that I don't know how to make a web site yet! This would be a simple site with her story, pictures and a donation button. I NEED HELP! I have created a page on Facebook with the help of a stranger (now friend) on facebook, which can be viewed by typing in "Tricia Witkowski" on Facebook. Also, I have purchased this domain name: HelpTriciaGetSurgery . com I have her story written out and many photos. I just need help putting it altogether! I do have Skype and if someone can help me, I would be so grateful! I don't have any money to spend on this, but could maybe give you some of the donations towards her surgery for helping! here is a perfect solution FREE since you have a domain and hosting. download the wordpess script from WordPress › Blog Tool and Publishing Platform. It comes with the famous 5 minuite install (easy to do).

with all the free themes available you should be able to get the perfect layout.

If you need a custom made donate button i would be happy to help no cost

Hi Melanie: It looks like you already have all the web help that you need. I do suggest a Wordpress blog instead of a Godaddy site for flexability. A blog will make it easier to update her progress as she moves along in her recovery.

See if you can cancel the site with Godaddy but keep the domain.

When you get ready, I will give you a link from my blogs back to your site, and make a donation. Just post here or PM me.

I will also place your friend on my prayer list.

Ah, the blog was a good idea. That way she can change anything easily, and comments can be added to it as well. I actually think that is a better idea for this particular site than a sales page type site.

I'll get one of my guys to set up the blog and all.

The header is a great idea, please send it to me so we can put it on the blog.

Warriors are great! I have had several help me out with our blog. I'm on dialup and have a difficult time uploading without coding getting dropped or changed. Plus, I can't really do the social bookmarking-it times out. Any volunteers?
Make sure the donation button is functioning correctly. Ours wasn't for weeks, we didn't know it and lost many donations.
I know the desperation you and your friend must feel, and my prayers are with you. Wish I could help!

Melanie, I specialize in custom graphics. Kym-Thank you for your help, I appreciate it! Thanks for the compliments too. You are right about taking care of my self-I was sick in bed 2 days last week from stress. It is scary when you have to do something like this and don't know how and have no money for help! I can tell you must have been there at one time! I will definitely take you up on your offer! Many times people have called me an angel in disguise! My dad calls me Mother Theresa! I am always going the extra mile for others! (trying to at least!)

Kate-Thank you for your kind words-I really appreciate it & I will tell Tricia what you said. The one thing I acually think I can do is create a button on Paypal because I was taught to do it for the Facebook page I made. I don't know what social bookmarking is but it sounds like something good, and someone has offered to do that above for me! GOOD LUCK!

Ah, the blog was a good idea. That way she can change anything easily, and comments can be added to it as well. I actually think that is a better idea for this particular site than a sales page type site. I'll get one of my guys to set up the blog and all. You are right about taking care of my self-I was sick in bed 2 days last week from stress. It is scary when you have to do something like this and don't know how and have no money for help! I can tell you must have been there at one time! I will definitely take you up on your offer! Many times people have called me an angel in disguise! My dad calls me Mother Theresa!
