Bookmarking a Self Hosted Wordpress Blog

Good day fellow Warriors,

I wondered if i can ask a question that has been confusing me a little? I'll apologise now if the answer is obvious, but i don't seem to be able to find an answer anywhere.

I have a self hosted wordpress website. As i am sure you know, you can get to the address of the site by entering Loading - please wait, but the actual address is Loading - please wait.

When i post articles and link back to this address or socially bookmark, do i include the www or just use the http:// format?

I ask, because I have written articles and bookmarked back using the www format, but even after 5 weeks, SEO Quake shows none of these links back to my site. Also, non of the articles or bookmarks show up in the first 30 pages, despite a relatively low competition keyword.

Any help would be appreciated

It seems because i used example domain addresses the second paragraph is not showing correctly. This should read

  the reason that your backlinks are not shown up is that they aren´t indexed, yet. It could also be possible that they don´t show up since a lot of SocialBookmarkingSites are no-follow.
  
  I have also a blog, and when I bookmark my articles on socialbookmarkingsites I use hxxp://myblogblabla123.com, but I don´t even bother with this, since I have an "Sharing" botton on the end of every post, so I simply have to click those bottons and Titel/Address/Description is filled in automatically.
  
  So either you could wait a view days/weeks to let these backlinks getting indexed, or you could use this:
  
  Index your backlinks, so that they show up in google:
  
  1. Copy the url of your backlink.
  2. Create a RSS feed from this url via rss feed creator tool (=e.g. iceroket, which is free) or SENuke (=costs).
  3. Submit this feed to RSS aggregators. (e.g. via a free software RSS Submit).
  4. Bookmark this feed and ping this feed.

www is old school... drop it and stick with http://yoursite.com

In some platforms, notably some article sites, http://url won't show
up as a clickable, follow-able link. In others www.url won't. I've yet
to identify a linking opportunity which supports clickable URLS that
doesn't support http://www.url - as awkward as it looks, it works.

Gmail only supports clickable links in the http://www.url format -

You can check in Worlpress to make sure how your blog is set.

On the left tab Go to:

"Settings"
"General"

Look to see if your blog address includes the www or not. I think the default is no www. You can add it if you want by typing it in the box and then hitting save.

Once you choose, stay with it with all your links.
