Cost of Outsource...Wow

So my outsource employee birthday is today.

She said she was throwing a party for 20 people and I offered to cover the cost of the food, drinks etc...as a thank you for her hard work over the year.

Cost - $21 USD

Thats like a part for 1 or 2 here, that is insane.

Cheers,
Mukul

Top shelf baby! Only the best for the staff.

Geez. I think I'm getting a bargain, but some of these coders I'm working with must be getting rich.

Guys like Dr. Mani are probably royalty with all those USDs coming in.

I think it could be done, depending on her tastes.

Sloppy joes, a homemade cake, and some kool-aid and you're good to go.

Why not send her $50 to $100 and really let her go wild? You come out ahead based on your expectations of costs, and you get a much happier outsource employee.

    All the best,
    Michael

Yeah Ron you are totally right....the ones who treat it like a business.

Micheal, the party was planned and I said I would cover the food; expecting it to be a lot more. She told me around 800 PHP ($17), I gave a 1000 PHP ($21).

Treat employees really really well who do good work for you

      Cheers,

And especially when you can do it for only $21

EDIT: BTW, about a month ago my coder from Pakistan had an unexpected fee from his son's school and he asked me if I had some work available. I asked him how much money he wanted and he told me it's 1500 Pakistani Rupees.

I sent him $20 instantly. (It was $17.57 BTW)

And dude, I just can't tell you how many fricking times he thanked me

Wow! This is amazing. I knew the U.S. Dollar went a long way, but I didn't know that you can feed a whole party on $21.

Granted, the OP didn't say WHERE his outsourcer was, but even in the US, it could be done.

The menu I suggested may not be the most elaborate, but so what?

My point is that it is possible to do it.

Make it a potluck and you can do even better.

If the purpose of the party is just to eat food, then my suggestion may not be a good one. On the other hand, if the socializing is the main aspect of it (as I think ALL good parties are) then who cares if you're eating sloopy joes?

Again, I was just trying to explain to the OP that it could be done.

        All the best,

Thats pretty cool you do this, irregardless of the cost. Maybe the question is, would you have done it if it was like $200 for you?

More details; this was a party she was having regardless, her mom cooking meatball, spaghetti, cake and so on for the party. I came in after the fact and asked her who is paying for it, she said she was and I offer to pay.

Thank you - If one person can make it a habit to do the same, I would be happy.

YES, I gave a blanket offer which is dangerous to cover it. I know her salary, I know, I cannot see it being at most 50% of a monthly salary (only guessing). It just happen to be that amount and I was shocked and thought I would share it here.

      Cheers,

    Pay it forward. 'nuff said.

There are not enough people out there that are willing to do that anymore it seems. I know its easier for negatives to spread than positives, and that is why more people should post stuff like this.

Ive had friendships ruined over less than what her party cost...sad.

So how much do you pay for an article?

I'm still very skeptical about outsourcing article writing...

Article writing....here is the truth that I think few tell your.

Content writing is one of the hard things to outsource; this in the process I just completed for one.
      - I had my other outsource person look at over 100 samples for applicants
      - They went 13 of them here to Canada to look at (2nd level)
      - I looked at 3 of them personally (3rd level)
      - Hired one of them. (I interview)

I pay this article right now about $165 USD/monthly

Next time someone says they got a great article or made money online or found a high income producing rental property, they did, but I believe that how the pro's find quality of anything.

      Cheers,
      Mukul
