What's a good way to promote my blog?

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi all,

i got this blog set up and running in the Aff. Marketing niche.

This is a long term project so obviously i'm counting on SEO tactics to rank with syndicated content for long tail keywordsto gain traction and start building a readership.

Content is king and i try to take care of it the best i can considering LSI keywords as well as.

I'm planning to start promoting the site in few weeks when it will be bigger. The niche is very competitive and there are a gazillion people that are much more experienced than me, so

"how can i actually get my site out there without looking like a moron?"

Has anybody got tips or ideas to share?

Well I am in the same niche and there is no easy way around it. If you want to get noticed, comment on other blogs that are popular and do a lot of guest pots. There are other ways to promote your blog but if you only do these two, then you will be on your way. I'm not a beginner but I know much about look at my signature for a example of how I think it should look like.

  Make sure you have an RSS feed and get that posted to other RSS Feed sites and then to several Social Networking sites.
  
  There are great tools out there that will do this for you in a big way.

i actually know the basics like blog and forum commenting posting articles, write press releases, publish viral reports/ebookks that link back to the site and so on...

what i'm interested in here is to know your opinion on how to go about it....

I'm no newbie myself and i'm planning to gain traction for the site within 3-6 months, so not an easy way but i'll chunk it down day by day....

I also have a blog in this niche and I use long tail keywords as much as possible and add content on a regular basis. But I really noticed a difference when I started using many ping services in the "writing" section of the WP dashboard. Beyond that I get backlinks but don't go overboard with that as I just don't have the time.

  Post on other blogs and forums relating to your niche.
  
  Use youtube as a training base for your website. This will bring more traffic when you look like an authority. Basically do videos.
  
  Another good way is to search for high competitive keywords in your niche.
  
  Once you find those keywords put them into google search and look for the top 5 websites.
  
  Then contact the owners and work out a deal with them to put your link on there site.
  
  Sometimes they will charge you but other times they dont even know how there getting the traffic because honestly they dont know much about marketing at all.
  
  They usually have other people doing this for them.

Why don't you use videos in your blog?

1.Try to upload it video sharing sites
2.create video sitemap and drive traffic to your niche blog.

These will helps to you.

make some valuable posts here, and use the signature link.

Use Social Bookmarking, Article writing on directories, Backlink methods as Angela or Paul, Forum posting. You must keep the unique content in the blog.

Have you considered guest posting on other blogs? I know it pretty obvious but a lot of folks don't think about this as viable traffic generation method and they're wrong...
