Need advise, clarity on all of this.

Hi everybody,

I am new to internet marketing, and I'm at a bit of a dead end at the moment.

I realise that there are thousands of people trying to earn a buck online, and I have tried it all only to find out at the end all they want is your money.

All those promises of financial freedom really suck you in...

Now i do understand that it is possible to make money by being an affiliate, but for the past 3 weeks i have been overloading my brain with information trying to get a good bird's eye view on it all.

I have come to the conclusion that all those IM guru's that send me emails promising the world if i buy a system are playing on my emotions which in turn makes them rich..

I don't want to have to manipulate people into buying from me and i understand that I don't have to choose IM as a niche but to learn how to do this without getting so confused, i went ahead and bought the affiliate code..

the programme was really informative and once again he made promises that if i follow his steps i will make money and i believed him, until i found this forum....

I want to learn from other people before i go ahead and follow his steps (buy a domain, webhosting, clickbank etc this all costs money that i can't afford to waste I don't want to waste my time and be disappointed when I don't make anything only to be back at step one having purchased a domain etc)
I need to make money, not spend/waste money..

I have taken a look at the 30 day challenge, but haven't yet followed the training..

I want to make this a success.. I can't stop thinking about it..

Any suggestions opinions will be appreciated.

Greg

You have arrived at the right place and will find all of the help you really need right here in this forum. Taking the 30 Day Challenge should have given you a pretty good overview of IM mechanics, so you will have a leg up on many newcomers.

Folks fail at IM because they never take solid, focused, action. The best advice I can give you is to learn from others here in the forum and pick only ONE IM method to start with. Focus all of your attention on this single method, ask questions in the WF and follow the suggestions of the more experienced players. You may or may not succeed with your first tries so you must be willing to modify your approach and redeploy.

    Hope this helps.

You are making this work at home stuff way harder than it is. Ready for some sanity? Clear your head and start over.

Here's the thing. There are literally hundreds of ways to make money on line. You will read through these forums and find people touting article marketing, niche blogging, membership sites, WSOs, CPA marketing, affiliate marketing, etc, etc. There is so much stuff your head will be literally exploding with ideas. It's almost like information overload.

And this is what I strongly recommend. Slow down and take your time. Don't rush in to anything. Do a lot of searching around these forums. Believe me when I say this - there is more then enough information on these forums that you will never have to buy any IM offer ever again. Take your time and find a niche that you feel will work for you - that plays to your already existing strengths.

And once you have decided on what that niche is, find a few different posters on this forum who are also involved in that niche and read their posts...ALL their posts. And take notes and develop a plan of action. Once you have read all those posts, you will have questions. Go out to the forum or even better, shoot a pm to those posters you have been following - they will almost certainly answer you as I have found the WF people here to be extremely helpful.

Once you have your solid plan mapped out, commit to it! Don't let yourself get distracted by the next big WSO promising you the world. Stay 100% committed to your plan and you will succeed.

Good luck! I'll be rooting for you.

I'm fairly new to IM (several months) and even though I haven't made much money, I have learned quit a bit. Regardless of the system or product you use or sell, your greatest challenge will be traffic, and there are multiples way to go at it, from paid to free. Find a method that fits your budget and your personality.

To succeed you must have the proper mindset. Hypey sales letters put you in the wrong mindset.

IMPORTANT -----Don't look for a "sure thing". -----IMPORTANT

If you have to be sure something will work before you try it you will never start. Marketing is all trial and error.

Learn the basics (like what you saw in the "30 Day Challenge"), focus on the basics they can make you money. Practice and get good at the basics before moving on to other strategies.

    • Do you know how to build a blog or website?
    • Do you know how to drive traffic to it?
    • Do you know how to convert that traffic?
(Conversion is basic salesmanship, the ability to persuade people to do something such as sign up to your list, buy a product or click a link to the merchant's site.)
There is a lot to learn, but if you focus on the three things above you'll do it and you will only do it if you focus without being distracted by all the "get rich quick stuff"

It took me years to learn this stuff and for it to sink in to my head. I hope it saves you from some of the frustration I've suffered.
