Any Other "slackers" Start Their Weeekend On Friday?

What we love about Internet marketing is we can start our weekend anytime we want.

For us, it's often Friday afternoon. (my Mother taught me not to be too much of a slacker...otherwise, I'd probably start it first thing )

I'm a newbee and I'm finding that working when I feel like it, and not on someone's schedule, is liberating.

Steve, please show some sensitivity here. We are not slackers we are self-employed business owners who are achieving a work/life balance

Absolutely Though I must admit I do like to balance a nice cold beer on Friday afternoon to welcome the coming weekend!

      All the best

Hehe...we hear you! Or maybe a nice glass of wine on the front porch (our favorite spring and summer Friday place)

I know it's one of the big seven, but they all seem to run together these days...:p

That's so true Bill. I constantly forget what day of the week it is, lol.

After getting my internet business rolling, I started the policy of the weekend starts whenever I'd like .

    weekend? what's that? LOL

No, I can get a lot done during the weekend as my husband is home and he takes care of the kids in the morning so I can have some uninterrupted work time. I just need to make sure I only work in the mornings though, otherwise he starts complaining

I have not been able to tell the days of the week apart for close to a year now LOL. I find that I constantly have to ask what day it is as SAturdays and Sundays feel the exact same as Mondays.

Boy its fun to work for yourself, but I remember when Friday night and Relaxation Sunday were MAJOR bonuses to look forward to each week...

The reason I like IM is that I don't need to care what day it is. I don't work Monday to Friday... I'm at home and I work when I want.

The only reason to care about weekends is because that's when people with normal jobs are around to have fun with.

Funny you should say that. I remember our first year without a "job". I told everyone that every day felt like "Saturday". So I definitely know what you mean. I guess with grandkids' weekend games etc., we have sort of reverted back to a "weekend" mode or something....but all is still so good.

I hate it when my girlfriend comes home and tells me it's Friday. All that means is; I won't be able to get in touch with anyone for a couple of days

    Not good!

Hehe! I HEAR you...we live in the middle of "No Where" Oklahoma! Our county is quite poor actually. But it does not matter! Our phone company is a cooperative and they are very progressive...we have DSL even in the middle of nowhere....the rest is history!

I really try to work all the way through on Friday, but lately I seem to be getting distracted and taking most of Friday off. So instead I've been working a little on Saturday to make up for it.

I'm not full time IM yet, however, so my schedule isn't as flexible as it will be in the future.

I agree with some of the people above. I just work when I want to be honest lol. It has been so long since I looked forward to the weekends. Now that I think about it, I actually hate weekends. I'm always complaining when the weekend comes around because everyone is out taking it easy and there isn't as much money to be made.

I've worked for myself for close to 30 years, office in my house, set my own schedule, work in my underwear, etc. and I still totally look forward to weekends. For me every weekend is like a mini-vacation, always something to look forward to. I'd never want to lose the sense of having a weekend (and yes, mine always start on Friday!)

What amazed me was how quickly I lost track of what day it is. I still don't know more often than I should.

I work when I choose, but it's more often than when I worked for someone else, but I love it!

You're right, though. Our "weekend" starts when we like. Which can really come in handy over holiday weekends. You can leave a few days early to beat the crowds, or skip the special weekends all together and go during the week. It doesn't matter.

    All the best,
    Michael

I very rarely slack on Fridays... I do all my slacking midweek....

Toddler groups, days at the beach etc are all better in the middle of the week

I work like crazy over the "normal" weekend, until there's some sports on, of course.

weekends are the best, its the only time when im not at my day job where i can actually get something done, but the only annoying this is, is how quickly do they seem to pass. like its saturday morning now for me, yet in about an hour it will be sunday night and theres nothing worse than sunday night.
