Swipe These Tested Article Marketing Strategies That Are Working Now To Build Your Opt In List

Since there are so many questions around this topic recently I decided to cave in and share with you some of the latest article marketing strategies that I am using now to build an opt in list in a tough niche .


I am averaging around 32 -35 opt in's a day in this financial services niche. This is a damn hard and competitive market to break into right now so forgive me if I do not share the exact website and details.



Before I share with you the exact article marketing steps I want to give you some background on the article marketing tests I have been running and what is going on with this marketing method right now.


Please, please please note... this is my experience only that I am sharing. This is not the views of anyone else and some of you may take offence with the tactics and strategies especially on spinning, etc.



Here's the story.

Around October last year I noticed a significant drop in traffic and my pages were beginning to get de-indexed in google.yes, my cached pages on my blog were getting uncached



I was writing 2 unique and high quality versions of an article. First one I placed on ezine articles and the other one on my blog.


Then I used spinning tools and submitted hundreds of versions of this to article directories and placed links back to the article on my blog.


Bad, bad, bad move.

After a month or so I noticed that some of the article links got deindexed as well as the actually article on my blog being deindexed and getting less traffic as well.


So I was confused and worried about this whole article-marketing thing.



Contacted google to find out what was wrong, submitted my website again for approval, not good.


So I do what I do best. I tested various combinations and different steps and I am glad to say I am getting about 30-32 new opt's a day to a highly competitive niche.



So if you are a newbie starting off or want to ramp up your efforts here is what I did in a nutshell.


Step 1- I write three high quality articles. Yes, no spun re-hased versions, just three high quality articles


Step 2 - actually this should be step 1 ... I never just pick and write any article anymore.


I reverse engineer what is working. I go directly to ezine articles. See what is showing in the 60 days most searched articles and then use the exact same keywords and pay close attention to the title of the article.

So use your browser, chose view source and then copy the keywords in that order


Then I write three high quality and unique articles. Please do not copy the articles. That is just very poor marketing habits and do not be surprised if Tony Soprano comes knocking on your website one day.



Step 3. Now here is the most important step. I called this article placement


I take each one version and submit to ezine. One to my blog and the third one to another web 2.0 site




Step 4: I wait a few days and then I spin those three articles,. Now here is what is important if you want maximum traffic and get your articles ranked high

I will spin only 10-20 version of the article and point a link back to my website. That is it... not more.




Google for some reason is giving my article higher authority status because of links. And also it is seeing the quality of my article on my page as higher quality than the spun versions because it has been indexed in the serps first


Then I will spin around 40-50 versions and point those links to ezine article only. Those links juices my ezine article and then when ezine links point to my blog I get better link quality


Then I would spin around 50 -100 versions and point to the web2.0 property only. It juices this up and I get a higher quality link to my blog

Note - I am only spinning for backlinks nothing else. If I get traffic from the spun versions good, if not I do not care. My goal is to get almost all my traffic from the three main articles

If you let your imagination run wild you will kind of see a network effect happening here with your blog as central point


All of this work should take you no more than an hour and in the interest of fair disclosure I now outsource some of this




And the results... very good.


So good in fact that I used this method to promote amazon products and this simple article marketing strategy is all good and helping me get more traffic



Naturally there are a ton more steps involved to get this set up right and you want to use tools to make it really simple.



If you just try out what I have explained here without going into the more advanced traffic stuff you will be surprised with your results within a month.
