I am considering creating a product, but am a bit stumped on what to create :p.

Where would you recommend I start? Are there any good resources for finding what people want?

I know that is probably the million dollar question but could someone point me in the right direction.

...and, survey various forums....pay VERY close attention to what people want and problems they face and questions they have...

Structure your product to address their problems.

Look at best selling products on places like Clickbank, etc. Examine those niche products. Then do something similar with a different angle and a better product/website.

Or look at bestselling "how to" books at Amazon.com, and look at those. Maybe dig a bit deeper and focus your infoproduct on ONE aspect of it. Look at the table of contents for ideas.

OR...find an expert in a niche, interview them, and turn that into an info product.

    Hi,

Ask yourself "What do I want?" "What do I need." "What is missing from my arsenal of Digital products that I would buy in a heart beat."

Now proceed to create that, research it on Google. Ask about "it" here. Write it/build it/ one word, sentence and paragraph at a time.

When you complete it offer it for free to 10 others like you in exchange for their input as to how to make it better.

Redo it until it is presentable to the public and then find 500 people just like you. (Hint, there are at least 500 people just like you right here on the Warrior Forum.)

...or here is something else you can do....proceed with caution though....

It's hard not to feel like every niche/market is essentially saturated with people peddling one good or another....

Again...proceed with caution because this tip can be VERY tricky and even a bit risky....

....You can try to anticipate a trend or need. People who can do this can make ALOT of money....

When you actually begin production of your product, the need may not even be there or there may be mild indications of possible success....It's akin to rolling the dice on a penny stock that becomes killer....

Facebook now has some 300,000,000+ users now, but, imagine if you had created a product for it in its younger days....before it even expanded beyond the college crowd? ...before every joe and sam began to make products with the same rehashed information over and over again....

This is VERY VERY tricky to pull off...but, do it right, and you could make millions....

Here is one BIG trick of mine...

Head over to Killerstartups.com, and see what new companies and startups they are reviewing and featuring. If something looks great....email the owner asking if you can write a product or "how to" guide once you have learned the intricacies of the site....

Tie your product directly into the success of the site....you'll find that the owner may even promote the heck out of your product FOR you....if you can make the case that your product will somehow lead to better, more knowledgable, users....

I could talk about this forever...but, yeah...it works....
