Shut Up & Just Do It!

There may be threads like this in here but here's mine.

Like myself, I'm sure many of you reading here are learning about how to make money online (assuming you aren't already). And it can seem overwhelming.

After trying so many other possible revenues like Amazon or Adsense you're feeling like it's pointless or not worth your while. But you decide to give it one last shot and read into all this Affiliate Marketing crap you've been reading about. People making money by pushing products? You're a glorified salesman except you have the world to sale to instead of one local area.

This was me... I can't seem to make money with ads or doing things like Amazon... I started reading more about Affiliate Marketing and literally spent 2 years doing so. Even after 2 years I still felt like I knew little about it.

The best advice I can give anyone is to just do it. Affiliate Marketing isn't really something you can read about. It's something you just have to do.

You pick a niche, an offer, a PPC company, a few keywords and you do it. Seriously, there isn't much more to it than that. At least to start with.

You don't have to lose a lot of money trying it out either. When I first started I went with Copeac(no affiliate link, this isn't about me making money off you) and picked a 2nd tier Ad network. Normally people would warn you away from these but there are reputable ones out there.

I found an offer that allowed direct linking (landing pages were confusing me at the time) and I ran it. With my first month I spent $80 and made $150. My 2nd month was about the same. Yeah I'm not rich but doing it and not reading about it has taught me more. I learned more in those 2 months than I did in the 2 years of my so called "research".

Many 2nd tier ad networks have programs in place to show you what's getting impressions and what's getting clicks. It makes your keyword research real easy when you start.

If you want to start making big money though.. you'll eventually want to go into the larger tiers (Adwords for example).

Hopefully my short rant here gives a few of you encouragement and you quit reading and start doing.
I'm not saying you won't lose money but you won't know if you don't try.
