what do you guys think about revenue sharing?

I've been considering delving into the world of Revenue Sharing.

For those of you who are unfamiliar it's basically a process where you offer a service, cover whatever with ads, and tell those who submitted the content that for every # of visitors that piece receives you pay them $x amount.

I've been thinking of making a site/business like this. Maybe image hosting (or adult image hosting).


Your thoughts? Anyone doing it or trying it?

    If you really want to do something like this, make it a true revenue share - they make money when you make money. Otherwise you'll bury yourself in scammers who will send robot or junk traffic to your page so they can collect the revenue share.

    Another way to go about it would be to assign each RS partner a code, then compile a report from your server logs showing what percentage of your traffic each partner sent. Each partner is then paid proportionally from the revenue sharing pool, whatever you decide that should be.

    In other words, if your stats show that I sent you 10% of your traffic, you would pay me 10% of the pool.

    Ah ok... so if I decide the pool should be... 50%(just an example) and you sent me 10% of my traffic you should get 10% of whatever the total number is of the 50%.

    And I've been trying to think of ways to work around scammers and bots. Truth is, I have no idea where to start.
