I've created TWO products, now what?

Hello Fellow Warriors

I'm a newbie, and as the title says I've created two products. One is about business systemization (the how-to's regarding creating systems), and the other is about article spinning (another how-to).

I have not decided on titles yet, because I want something real catchy and that's not my specialty. I am working on it today though.

I've also thought about giving them away to build my subscriber list, yet I have a few questions.

Here are my Questions:confused::

1) Should I have a launch for this, and just offer 100% commissions?

2) Should I find a JV partner, and let them have all of the money, while I build my list? If so, how do I find a partner?

3) Who can I give them to for mass distribution, in addition to JV Giveaways, Facebook, and LinkedIn?

4) How long must I be a part of the forum prior to asking for people to review my products for suggestions?

Thanks to all in advance for your help

You could offer it as a free WSO and build a list that way.

      Hey there La Tonya,

First of all, did you do research for that "hungry market" for business systemization? I only ask this because you may be putting the "cart before the horse." Make doubly sure that your have a target market that is willing to pay dollars for this niche first

If you took care of that, I would start out with two things. 1) get an opt in page (squeeze page) up that will give the subscribers a "tease" on what you have in the ebooks. 2) I would aggressively look for a "partner" an established business with a medium to large subscriber list (their newsletter) and see if you can purchase a "solo ad" or maybe joint venture with them on sharing revenue from sales from anyone who purchases your product from their list.

      Just some ideas for you.

      Hope that helps!

I hate to make assumptions, but, I will here. Can it be assumed you did some market research first? That you actually identified a market that WANTS your products? And if you did, then what did you find this market is already buying? At what price? In what format?

How and Why did you create these products? IF you just have expertise in these areas and created the products from your background, then now, what do you want the products to do?

Can I assume you want them to WORK for you? To make sales? To make you money?

Product ONE: Business Systems. Who wants this information? Where do you find them ONLINE, what forums do they use, what blogs? What keywords do they search for?

What are the top 10 selling products in the category?

Andd most importantly, in my opinion, what are your back-ends to these products? What ELSE are you going to offer to people who purchase or read your products?

Your second product should be a good match for the WF and a WSO would be a good way to launch it. There are thousands of people here interested in Article Spinning, not a day goes by (it seems) that a new WSO is offered on this very topic.

IF you give it away, what will do with the list you make? What will you be sending the list? How often?

OK, OK, enough questions. Some practical advice.

I'd create a HOTSHEET on each of your products. These are simple one or two page FACT sheets, normally answering a question, but it can be anything. For example, I might write a HOTSHEET on Three Cash Saving Reasons to use Systems in your business. Now it can be a HOTSHEET giveaway or spun into an article. Maybe you'd offer ANOTHER HOTSHEET to the reader for free.

You then start to SELL the potential client in this and refer them to the sales page where they can order/download the report. Here is where you can test prices, see what the market will bear. You might want to do that with a WSO, a limited number test at various prices.

The "guerrilla" way is to use articles, post at forums, make a blog and do WSO for traffic and then build the list via surveys or Q and A to your "customers". Although, you might want to discount the advice of the FREEBIE person (if you give it away) and listen to what the cash paying customers tell you about your product.

Consider adding VIDEO, or an AUDIO program, do a Webinar, or a MemberShip site if enough interest warrants it.

My opnion is, you had better have something terriffic to compete in those two markets. AND a longer range plan of what you want your products to do...

    for whom,
    when,
    how much,
What Else can you give them?

Also, we don't know what the product is...an Ebook? A pdf file for download? A book?

    Good luck to you.

      Excellent suggestions!

@ netkid and @gjabiz, I did not research the markets. I created the ebooks based on questions that I've had in the past. For instance, EMyth left me wondering, "How do I create systems for my business, and what tools are there to do so?" I then searched the internet, through the first 25 pages (of google for various search terms ), and found nothing that provided a practical how-to detail. Nor dis they give suggestions of tools/resources that can be incorporated into your systems, such as socialoomph.com or hootsuite.com.

Regarding article spinning, it took me a while to figure it out so I figured that others would benefit from info as well.

So here is the questions: How do I research my market? These ebookss were created with the small business niche in mind.

@yoel cohen awesome! I'll definitely add your advise to my action plan.

Thanks for your suggestion. I'd do that. @ sara young and actionplanbiz

@gjabiz Will you please attach an example of the Hotsheet? I was unable to decipher the text within the link provided.

        Hey there dnnseoco!

I am glad you were honest about letting us know you did not researching your market, however, I read and re-read Michael Gerber's "eMyth" and it STILL does have relevence in todays business....but I think you still need to get a feel for the business owners if they are still concerned about the "working ON your business vs. working IN your business" mindset.

You are correct in that systematizing business is where its at, but I think, if the business owner can be convinced about how this process can save them money, point them in the right direction, and make them realize these methods are what they need, then I think you have a winner here.

If you could somehow set up a "survey" site and use something like "SurveyMonkey" to ask business people the most "burning question" about business operations, I think you could hook a good number of people interested in this concept.

To implement this survey site, you could format as a "squeeze page." You could give away a free report that shows them a little of how systematizing their business could mean more sales and more profits for their business....position your offer with them making profits from the "teaser" info you will give them in exchange for their participation in the survey.

I am not basing this on any method other than some common sense. And as a bonus, your email list you just built will be "pre-sold" on your offer of your ebook product in the near future

        Hope that helps!

If you have a product or service that you can upsell then that could be a good Idea.

But, in a case where you don't have a product that you can up-sell (which should have a higher perceived value) you can always offer 75% -85% of the front end sale. Assuming the product and the sale pages are good, people would like to promote your product.

That has to do with question #1.

It really depends on your business strategy and funnel.

To find JV's you can always contact people on forums.

Another way to do it is by going to Google and typing in:

Your niche keyword "we hate spam" free ebook
    or
Your niche keyword "we hate spam" free report

this will give you a lot of results from people offering free ebooks or reports in exchange for opting in.

Contact the owners of websites that get some decent traffic (after opting in) and offer them to place a banner/image/message on their thank you page offering every one who opted in a chance to get your product at a discount price. Naturally, you should have an affiliate program set up for this. This is know as integration marketing and requires work at the beginning. But once it's up you can roll with it.

Do you want to sell them or give em' out for free?

Assuming you want to give em' out for free (you can't do both - unless behind close doors) submit them to ebook sharing site and document sharing sites.

Break em' up into articles and submit them to article directories.

Have strong calls to action to get people moving forward to your website.

As far as I know the moment you have enough posts to send PM's you should be good to go. Take into consideration that some warriors may not respond, dont get discouraged and don't SPAM.

    One last thought...

You can always sell the Private Label Rights of your products (assuming they're good and fresh) on the WSO section of this forum.

    Hope This helps...
