Websites, awstats, and 404s?

Hi all,

Just for fun I went and looked at my "awstats" for a couple sites today. I usually use Google Analytics, but I was curious to see what awstats shows, and how they compare...

One site is nothing but a splash page, it was going to be a personal blog (like 3 years ago) - but I've been sidetracked trying to figure out how to make money and never really did anything (but love the domain too much to drop it, of course!)

Awstats looks like its showing me 404 errors - pages people tried to access, that weren't there...

Searching for robots.txt - I assume this is just web spiders, trying to make sure they're welcome.

But - there's a bunch of other stuff too... like /logs/awstats.pl and webstats/awstats.pl - some iphone stuff, and mainly stuff that looks like they fishing around for any kind of admin access...

Should I be concerned? This site has nothing on it, but I assume this is going on at my other sites as well... and I really don't know how/where any of this is stored. Is there something I need to do to make sure my site is secure.

I have turned off directory browsing, but I'm not sure if there's anything else I need?

My sites are all on hostgator, if that matters...

Thanks!
