    Alright mate.

What you're suffering from is probably the most common thing that people who are new to this business suffer from, seeing nothing for their efforts.

Success isn't a birthright, it's a process of trial and error and it's momentum is driven by the marketer.

My feeling is it may even get worse, before it gets better, the thing is, you've got to have heart like a fighter and know that you're going to do it no matter what.

You'll find your way and one day, just keep learning and remember, a positive attitude will allow your mind to be more open to opportunity.

    Happy Days

I have some questions for you:

    1. Are you sure you are in the right niche?

    2. Are you sure you are doing the right things you should do?

    3. Are you sure you have done enough in order to start seeing results?

    4. Are you sure you have bought the right products?

    5. Are you sure you have the right mentality?

    6. Do you even have a business plan? If YES, do you really follow it.

P.S.: You have to change the way you write because it's a mark of "anyhow" online business person, especially article marketer. Any way, maybe you outsource your articles but your post is not coherent.

There are a few ways to crack this nut but by the sounds of what you say you are trying seo and content marketing.

So unless you want to learn and pay the price for ppc or other paid advertising then you need to learn how to really pick the right keywords and most importantly how to get whatever content you are using ranked on the first page of search results.

There is a different approach to content websites that doesn't need a lot of keyword research, link building or analysis but you still need to fully understand the methodology to make it work.

What you are probably learning so far is probably 90% right but as they say "it's in the detail" that really makes the difference.

Keep going, keep learning, but keep lots taking of action as well,

When I get frustrated, I stop working for a while and come here and read. Find anything to learn, motivate or inspire you. I find that when I read and see that so many people do make money, I also learn that most of these people are earning their money with time, patience and analyzing.

I found that with my own site, I decided to try to increase sales by learning more about sales letters and copy. I went through a month of reading about sales letters, mindset of buyers, etc. and when I applied it - my sales nearly dropped to 0. So I went back to the technique I had and sales reversed. For some reason the way I had it is what worked, not what all the "gurus" of sales letters were trying to teach... lesson learned that only could be learned through trial and error. So now my job is to make my sales better using my original technique. So bottom line - you need to practice trial and error. Only you can do that for your sites.

Remember that "Persistence Always Pays Off."

      Good luck,

How many articles did you write?

How many directories did you submit them to?

Did you analyze the strength of competition of the top 10 sites for your keyword?

Did you do anything else besides article marketing to promote your site?

How long have you been at this?

Don't feel bad. It's frustrating when we are start out.

Please recognize that ebooks out there usually specialize in one technique that people are interested in specializing in.

Unfortunately, the sales pages make these programs sound like the end all and be all of internet marketing. They're not. They're one of several techniques out there.

It's best to get an overall education of what it takes to make money online, then choose the method you like the best.

If you're wishing to go the SEO-route, which is the best way to get traffic overall even though it's a bit more labor intensive, I recommend checking out the Market Samurai software.

There's a 12 day trial, but the tutorials do a really good job of teaching basic keyword strategy. You might have chosen a keyword that was getting a lot of traffic but wasn't necessarily profitable. Market Samurai can help you weed out those keywords.

I also recommend choosing a niche topic that you've got an interest in and know a lot about, provided you can make money from it. If you're gaming expert and know Halo 3 cheats like the back of your hand, that's the niche you want to talk about because you love it.

Try writing your articles on Info Barrel and Xomba so you can at least make some money off your tips, even though they're just pennies at first.

Recognize that making money online is a gradual process. It could be 6 months at the least, if not more, before you see a steady income.

Forget the stuff that says you can make Instant Cash. Dominate Google. Nobody dominates Google; they'll keep people from trying. All that is marketing language.

Until there's a way to nuke off rubbish promises on the internet, the best thing for you to do is learn from solid experts.

But don't give up. If you really want this, keep at it. Analyze what's not making sense. Look for honest help. You may have to unlearn some things and relearn them the right way. But keep at it.

I'm not sure what you mean by "nothing is happening". Are you getting no traffic or traffic but no sales? How long has your site been up? Have you done any competitive analysis? Are you in a true buying niche or one that attracts information seekers only? Further input may help us all give you some meaningful suggestions.

How long has your site been up?

How many articles have you done and submitted to article directories?

What is your monetization strategy? AdSense? Affiliate products? Your own product?

Are you using any list-building techniques? If so, how are you encouraging people to sign up?

Has your site been indexed by Google? Have you done any link building outside of article marketing?

Is your site getting any traffic?

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

My life in Internet Marketing changed when I stopped chasing money and left the money chasing me.

It's all about the correct mindset. If you chase the dollars, they tend to run away.

Are you planning for a business? If you plan for a real business, not just a few bucks here and there, you'll see that the money will start following you.

You need patience and perseverance. And planning. If you fail to plan you're planning to fail.

Look at the IM as a business, plan to succeed in the business and give time for the business to flourish.

95% of people give up because they're promised overnight riches and do a lot of mistakes without noticing. So take your time, think about your goals and write a plan.

Sooner or later the success you want will appear. Don't give up

I was just about to make a post just like this one (good thing I didn't I probably would have gotten hammered with a ton of "why don't you use the search function" responses!:rolleyes

Anyway I saw a lot of talk about "mindset". What exactly does this mean? What is the "mindset" I should be in? I got into this to make money yes. I'm tired of working my butt off with 2 jobs and still struggling to make ends meet. So if the "making money" mindset isn't right then what is?

I started out with Commission Ritual which was a great course. I really learned a lot. I got up about 10 sites over a period of about 4 months. So far I've made $20 with adsense and one affiliate sale. Needless to say I'm not giving my 2 weeks notice yet.

I understand that it takes time and patience but jeez its hard to put in all this time (using the only free time I have) and not see any results.

There are so many courses and suggestions out there on how to proceed that I get overwhelmed with them. I don't have a lot of extra money to spend so I haven't invested in many of them. I guess I'm just kind of spinning my wheels trying to figure out where to go from here.

Jorge said correctly. If you focus all of your attention on "how can I make money at this" you will probably have a tough time. There is a lot to be said for mindset. IM is no different than selling in the brick and mortar realm. And a sale will only occur when the perceived benefit to the buyer exceeds the cost of the seller's offer. That will never change.
