Hi guys!

I have 4 articles that are currently live on ezines. I seem to be getting a fair amount of article views, but my URL CTR is really low. (24 views/1 clickthrough)

Is this normal, or is this because my resource box info needs to be edited?

Since the whole purpose of the articles is to get people to clickthrough, I'd obviously like to improve upon this ratio.

Here are the links to the articles.

Jobs For at Home Moms - Make Money With Your Own Online Business

Home Based Computer Business - How Do I Get Started?

Website Traffic Promotion - How Do I Market For Free?

Computer Home Business - Should I Try Affiliate Marketing?

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks!
Jennifer

    Hello,
I would explain a little more on what you are actually giving away.
I have seen some articles that I wanted to use for my forum but I was turned off by the authors resource info.

    Hi jsgalyean,
I think that your titles lack the curiosity which is the most essential part here:
For example, in the first title you better replace it with this title:
How to Get Online Job From Your Home and Make Enough Money Each Month...
Of course you know more details about your topic and what interests your home partners, but the fact is that you have to make it more interesting not just informative...

    Hi jsgalyean,

I would use the resource box to raise curiosity in what you have to offer. the following "This article is contributed by Jennifer Galyean, who is a stay-at-home mom and part-time online entrepreneur" can be deleted and IMO is not necessary.

Provide a strong call to action. As a reader, I am not interested in the accomplishments of the writer, but in how clicking to your site will benefit me.

    Hope that helps a bit

I think the resource box is a little on the dull side but that's probably because it's too long for what you need. You can put the same info into just a couple of sentences.

'Jennifer Galyean runs a successful home business while staying home with her kids. Grab her five free videos and discover her proven formula for success'.

As you're targeting stay at home mothers, I'd leave in the fact that you are one yourself. Helps to build up a rapport with the readers.

Also, although you didn't ask about your site, and it's extremely professional, your article is written by a woman, you're telling them they can get 'your' videos, and then the video on the capture page is a guy talking? That disconnect would put me off. Not sure how others would see it, or even if they'd notice, but you might want to watch out if you can get your ctr up as to what the conversions turn out like.

I did look at your articles and the resource box and they actually do look fine to me.
You could however experiment with different stile of resource boxes and see if that would make any difference.

I think it will improve as your views grow. Ezine in the end is a number game, the more you post to it the more chances you have for cross pollination, name recognition, and of course article views. It just takes 1 article to hit a nerve to get your whole backlog of articles a whole bunch of views / clicks.

Thanks to everyone for your input!

I realize that the titles may have some issues, but I am trying to use a specific method with keywords in my titles. The basic idea is that when you find a low competition but reasonably high search keyword you use that as the first 3-5 word in the title, so that is why they are the way they are.

I'm going to make some changes to my resource box and resubmit the articles. Wish me luck!

I looked at the first of your articles:

Jobs For at Home Moms - Make Money With Your Own Online Business

While there are other factors resulting
in the low CTR, one that I observed
is the fact that your url is the very
last thing readers see there. Most will
not get to read that last line, let alone
    click through to your site.

I would make the resource box "Do you want to know how? I'll show you my proven formula for online success! To receive your 5-PART FREE VIDEO SERIES and get started today... visit http://www.BeginnersCanMakeMoneyOnline.com." and cut everything else out

I'd probably change it to "Do you want to know how? I'll show you my proven formula for online success! Click HereTo receive your 5-PART FREE VIDEO SERIES and get started today ... visit http://www.BeginnersCanMakeMoneyOnline.com"

    Hi Jennifer,
What if you could write articles focusing more on getting rapport with the reader.
I assume, that if I am looking for ideas to start a business from home, I would need to read from somebody who was in my exact position.
What is your story? why are you writing on this topic? do you really understand moms who want to work from home? and so forth...
