Climb a tall tree to tell a lie? Or stay on the ground with the truth?
I had an uncle Frank who was a schemer. He always had something going. My father would often say this about his brother; "Frank would rather climb a very tall tree to tell a lie than to stay on the ground to tell the truth."
In other words, Ol Unc was a hard working dude, was willing to sweat his ass off while looking for the short cut.
Recent posts have reminded me of my uncle. One guy wants to make up words and hire Filipinos to "spam" forums (although it isn't spam in his mind). Another guy wants to sell his magic money making elixir to the masses.
Still another wants to sell his traffic building WSO and asks how to get traffic to his site.
SIGH.
My Uncle was an interesting man, did a lot of things. Bounced from one scheme to the next and spent tens of thousands of dollars on this thing and that. It wasn't until late in his life that he discovered what he loved doing, (being a farmer) and he had great success at it cause he finally "stayed on the ground" and simply ground away at ONE thing, loving what he was doing and finishing his life on a solid and strong note.
I see a forest full of Sequoia trees growing here. A few of you would be well advised to plant some corn and reap the harvest that comes with growing a business, rather than trying to get the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, which, you might be able to see from the top of the tree.
OK, my sigh of the day is done, back to WORK for me.
