If you're talking about email I have no clue.

If you're talking about postal mail I've done a ton
of that and it doesn't matter. The post office will get
it out when they get it out... lol

I try to avoid Mondays and Fridays. Time is variable as I have customers all over the world.

Best time is Wednesday 3:17 am Eastern Time. No idea why, but I get a lot more of my emails opened sent at that time.

3:17am Eastern is 8:17am UK and 3:17 pm in a lot of the Far East.

I can't remember where I saw it but apparently Wednesday around 11am is a great time.

People are feeling the strain on hump day and looking for something to procrastinate to.

Of course this strategy starts to fall apart if you have customers in differnet time zones!

ok, early morning around 8-11am US Pasific .. i normally get a lot of emails opened this hours..

If you use Mozilla, you can download their addon called FoxClocks where you can track the time, which will be shown at the bottom of your browser..

Best time if the majority of your prospects are in the US East Coast is
7 to 9 AM on Tuesdays.

There are tons of stats on this and I have compiled my own over the course
      of 5 plus years.

Just don't mail on Saturday or Sunday. Absolutely the worst.

Steven is right, but maybe not entirely, in my opinion.. I think this applies differently for some niche. if your in the hobby niche, you might see more response from your email if you send out on these day... People like this tend to check their mail on this days more.

Even work from home, catering to those who are still working but trying to earn online part time, also do well if mailed on weekends.

The best thing is, to test it out.. your result and mine mine not be identical.

It depends upon the location of your list and the niche. I agree with asianlunatic that the best way to know is to test it yourself.

You also have to consider the subject of your email. You have to use
trigger-pulling words to entice your list to open it.

The best time for me is between 1pm EST and 4pm EST.

if you send it between those times, more poeple are going to open your email up.

Also, it has a lot to do with your email TITLE. Some titles will have your subscribers open the email and some of your emails, your subscribers won't open up.

The very best time to send is when your potential customers have money and are in a buying mood. :p

The Best time of day to send e-mail is the time and day that opt-in to your list. Usually this is the time that the prospect is at their computer.

I agree 100% with this! I have seen my sales drop like a rock when my emails violate this...

The best time of the day to send email is when you feel like doing it.

Anyone who tells you anything else either is spouting something that works for them only, or are lying.

To my knowledge, there is no autoresponder service that will send your message to each of your subscribers at the time that each of them opted in. People opt in 24 hours a day. Granted, more opt-in at some times than others, but are you going to look at the time on each one and average it out?

Best you can do is a guess, and I think you can safely say that early to mid-morning US time is the best time to get the most eyeballs.

In a nutshell, mornings on virtually anyday particularly on Tues and Thurs. 7-11

Weekends in some niches can do really good too. Think family oriented stuff.
