Would You Focus On Top 5 Article Sites or Submit To Many Article Sites As You Can?

Hi Warriors,

I know that when submitting articles to article sites, it would be much better to submit it to as many directories as you can for maximum exposure and backlink purposes. But what if you are just promoting a squeeze page on your resource box for list building purposes, would you still submit it to many article sites or you can just rather focus on at least the top 5 article sites? I'm currently submitting to 20+ article directories, and I'm not getting enough views and clicks on the lower level sites compare to EZA, articles base, and other high-traffic sites. Should I just focus on submitting to just the top 5 sites to save time as well?

Your comments will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

I only focus on a few (the ones with the highest ranking/most traffic/etc) - that way, I can put more effort into going back and backlinking/social bookmarking the articles that I do post to give them more authority.

That maybe caused by your selection of keywords. Choose, less competitive keywords and post on those same directories. You can also use article submitters to submit to over 100 article directories. However, Ezinearticles, Article Alley and Snatch Articles are those who still keep me on top after months...

I used the same keywords, same article, same title, same everything, but the result that I'm getting from lower level sites are really ridiculous compare to high-ranked sites like EZA and articles base. I have an article at EZA that I just published on May 21, and I already have 127 views and 42 clicks, that's 33% ctr, and that particular article that I also submitted at another site, only has 19 views and 3 clicks, 15.7% ctr.

The top 5. The rest of them can't even get their pages indexed/cached.

If I had the article spun then it would be a different story however if I had to personally rewrite each article I would focus on the top five since those are essentially the ones with the most traffic and page rank.

Article spinners make our jobs soooo much easier you just need to tweek it a little here and there until you proof read one random article each time and it's perfect then the rest should be relatively good as well or at least that's what I found out

Others might disagree, but article spinners MAY have been effective in about 2005. I think they are a COMPLETE waste of time now. Like I said above, you can't even get the pages cached on some of these low-level sites. I don't even see why you'd bother "spinning" it for uniqueness. Just stick the same article on the site and be done with it.

Well, i do somehow agree that spinned versions are losing their effectiveness. Realised that most of my approved top PR article directories just simply didnt get ranked for my article sites or even impose no follow restrictions.

I kind of think that duplicate content was never the problem. I think people assumed it was the problem when results started getting put into the supplemental index. Google got so many questions on it, that they eventually just removed it from vision.

I suspect that Google simply picked "winners" out of similiar content....and that was based on Pagerank/Links. So spinning content doesn't solve the problem, having pagerank does.

Like I said in another similar thread...

Many will tell you it's nothing wrong to submit the
same article to tons of article directories and
that the duplicate content issue is a myth...

But myth or not, I would rather spin my article(s)
and submit unique versions to hundreds of
article directories and get hundreds of
backlinks that will STICK in the search engines.

    I dunno, that's just me,

    Hi....

You need to remember that even though you may not be getting much direct traffic from the rest of the article directories you are submitting to, they are still providing your with strong long-lasting backlinks (especially if they have high Page Ranks).

So I recommend that you continue to submit to all 20 of them.

    Much Success,
