warrior recommendations on how to distribute articles?

I'm just starting out with article marketing and a friend of mine (who has been doing this for sometime) suggested i use this service called iSnare for the distribution part. Anyway, so i bought an account and submitted two articles but it's been over a week now and nothing is happening.. What's worse is that the site seems to have had this problem since "August 12, 2008" yet hasn't been able to do anything about it, because when you login you get this message.
Now, I can understand that glitches, etc happen so I'm not pointing any finger at them but it does bring me to the more important question, i.e.
what would be the best alternatives to this? Google returned some results but I want some recommendations which warriors have used in the past and working out for them.
Any advice will be helpful.
