Marketer just gives out loads of free stuff...

One thing I can be pretty sure of though, is this:

He won't be "renting" that list out. It just doesn't work well in this niche... much better to adswap, or cross promote. This niche is so full of dud subscribers that it would be hard to find a sticking point or any rental price..lol

I think it's just a series of cross promotions with other marketers.

They send out his ad to their lists and he does that same
for them. That's why you're receiving lots of freebies lately

I'm going to agree with cross-promotions (ie. Adswaps) and using freebies that cookie you and put you onto the list of another marketer (or put your infront of a oto etc) Then if you buy from them ... he'll be credited with the commissions.

Marlon Sanders for example has a 10 yr cookie so if I give away his free stuff and you end up on his list (provided no one else refers you) ... then I could get a commission in 9 years 354 days if that's how long it takes for you to buy.

But then the problem with the above is, if he's done this for weeks, and haven't sent me an offer, then does that mean i'm just on one of his many lists? and if so, why do people have more than one list for their name under one niche...( this is the make money online niche) ?

As someone mentioned above there could be affiliate links in the product or maybe he tries to upsell you after giving you the free stuff for even better stuff.

Another possibility is he's probably trying to grow his list with adswap where he gives away someone else free offer and they give away his free offer. This way it's essentially win win

Another reason is he could be trying to build a relationship with his members so they learn to trust him and remember him as the name who gave them so many free stuff so when he does actually send out an offer more will grab at it. Instead of sending out a product purchase option every other email where people will get tired and just unsubscribe or at least I would.

I don't know the marketer for sure.

But it SOUNDS like the ad swap model.

Jit is a MASTER of that model. A master.

Jason Parker is good at it also.

Lee Mcintyre sends out loads of great reports and videos but
mixes in lots of pitches.

Jason Fladlien sends out freebies and pitches.

And pix of his daughter. Then more pix of his daughter. lol.

  Most of the emails that Jit does, at least for the list that I'm on, are ads for other people's squeeze pages.
  
  Each ad swap he does brings in X subscribers + $Y in OTO and back-end sales.
  
  He sends at least one email a day (possibly more sometimes), so you can assume that he's getting a lot of emails promoting him back.
  
  This means that he's getting lots of new subscribers per day, plus $100s or more in OTO sales, all from simply doing ad swaps.
  
  And the beauty of this system is 3-fold, IMO:
  1) He builds a huge list that is trained to expect the type of emails he sends.
  2) The money he makes from OTO and back-end sales is pretty good on its own.
  3) When he promotes a launch (I estimate about twice a month), he does extremely well because he's sending his subscribers to squeeze pages, just like he normally does.
  
  Jit is the only guy I know that swaps seemingly all the time and "gets away" with it, if you know what I mean. He builds his list, makes money, and lands on JV leaderboards, all without pissing most of his subscribers off.

Maybe trying to build up his list with adswaps.

I can't speak for the person you're referring to but I Personally prefer to work on building my list than spamming them with purchases. When I do send out an offer I want to make sure it's of value to them and I try to limit it to 1 every one or two month.

Being a new list I'm not very interested in profiting from it yet but growing it and building trust with my members. Want to make a win win situation when I do share with them I want them to know that it has to be good so they purchase.

If you try to sell too much to your list they'd probably get frustrated and leave or don't have enough budget to continue purchasing your offers.

There's a few out there and it seems this is all they do with the odd product of their own plugged about once every quarter.
