What Sites do You Use to Locate Hot Niches?

Hello WF!

I was wondering if you may be able to tell me what web sites you use to help locate hot niches or up and coming niches.

For example: Google Trends, Amazon, eBay and DMOZ

I look forward to learning what other websites our out there to help locate special niches.

Yep... Ready for this..... My brain!

Joking aside; I just use keyword tools and other free stuff as I dig into a niche. Don't go off the beaten path to find money as you will be the only one on that path. Checkout proven markets and add a twist.

Google trends, adwords, keyword tool, look for investor startup reports that have done the research already.

You may try nextmark.com, they have mailing lists you can rent, it's like the SRDS book, but free online, and you can see the amount of people on their mailing list and get an idea about new niches. One kind of old school is going to magazines.com, if there is a magazine chances are it is a hot niche. Also look for the Dummies series books, if there are some book in the Dummies series book that means in most cases is a hot niche becuase they go for markets were they can sell tons of books. Hope that helps.
