Would you prefer a One Stop Shop or Complete Toolset?

Assume you're in my target market and I can provide you with a solution that gives you everything you need...

Please vote in the wording that excites you the most. (Note: the solution is a set of tools and it's a business-to-business niche...)

One stop shop got my attention. Its pretty awesome when you can get whatever you need in one place. Good luck!

I'd have to go with the complete toolset. I would take that you get to download everything and not have to keep going back to a site for everything everytime you want it

How about using the one that FITS!?!!?!? Those terms are often NOT interchangable!

Aaaaaaaand by implication, they sometimes ARE.

I like "one stop shop" because it's more than one product. Offer me "everything I need," and you can't really upsell me without saying "actually, that's NOT everything you need."

They all fit - I could say each about the solution I have in mind. But you are right: they are not necessarily interchangeable from the perspective of the target market, and that's why I'm doing this poll. To get some indication of which terms resonate most with people. Of course, we'll have to split-test to be more precise, but I thought a poll in the WF might help us choose which terms to split-test first.

I went with complete toolset because it sounds very specific to me.

It also makes me think that what's on offer will be practically useful.

The other three sound a little fluffy like they could be referring to anything.

Complete toolset makes me think I can take what you give me and put it to work right away.

By comparison, you can offer me a hardware store that really is a one stop shop that has everything I need, or you can hand pick all the best tools from that shop and hand them to me in a box.

I'm gonna go with the box of tools as it makes me feel like you've already assessed what I should be using and put it together neatly and conveniently for me.

But, that's just me and I personally buy a lot more practical tools and scripts etc than I do info products.

So I suppose it depends if that puts me in or out of the hypothetical target market.

P.S. Anna, your newsletter is far and away the most useful mailing list I'm on so if you really are putting together a complete toolkit on anything related to marketing, I'd like to hear about it!

Kezz - thanks for your detailed reply. This thread may not be 'quantitative' research but it's turning out to be qualitative - a bit like a 'focus group' - so any further comments from anyone would be much appreciated.

Thanks also, Kezz, for your kind comments about the newsletter. You'll certainly be one of the first to hear what we're about to launch. Not sure if it will be a one stop shop or a complete toolset though!

Hmm... I kinda like the "Complete Solution", although I couldn't really tell you why. If I were asked next week, I might go for another answer (or not). It's subjective. I think that "Complete Solution" gives me the complete "fix" to my "problem". Hope that helps some ~p

I voted for "Your Complete Toolset". It was the one that jumped out for me because it implies I'm going to get information AND tools/resources.

Not sure what you're selling but....

One Stop - I would need to know exactly what I wanted and would need to know that you offer that before I went to that type of site.

Everything You Need - This would be my second choice......makes whatever it is your selling sound promising.

Your Complete Solution - Just sounds unrealistic to me.

Hope this helps and hope you get what I'm trying to say.....it's been a long day!!!!!!

    Good Luck.

I'm not that excited by any of them, of the choices available, I went with One Stop Shop.

Your One Stop Shop - Winner by default.
Your Complete Toolset - Tools = Work ...and people are lazy.
Everything You Need - I don't believe it, no one has everything I need.
Your Complete Solution - Don't know why, but I just don't like it.
