    People often think they have to overcomplicate things, which isn't true.

    To any people who are new to list building, all I can say is "just do it". You'll learn a lot along the way, and hopefully earn a lot, too.

    That's it? I'm new to this kind of stuff and have read a couple of articles about list building and most of them just left me with a headache. When I saw your video I made sure that the whole thing is over and I played it again because I might have missed something. But I didn't, so maybe yeah the materials I've read teaches me to overcomplicate things. Thanks for sharing this with us.

      It's easy to overwhelmed, especially when you're new to it all, because there's so many different ways that you can build a list.

      This is the approach I've taken and it has worked well for me.

    I am sure you can get a lot of different optins from traffic exchanges but I personally think they are a waste of time. Most of the members do not have any money to spend that is why they are clicking on websites trying to earn credits so people will visit their websites. I try to aim for subscribers who will actually buy from me and traffic exchanges in my opinion do not bring paying customers.

    Adswaps are great I agree with you 100 percent on that one.

    Concentrate on bringing hoards of traffic to your website, and the money and signups will fall into place.

    I would also add SEO for targeted traffic to your website which in turn equals opt-ins and paying customers. A small responsive 500 list is better than a big 20,000 list that does not make you any money.

      I agree that traffic exchanges are a waste of time. They are, however, a great way to get your first handful of subscribers that you can then send to free giveaways. The more members you send to a giveaway, the more points you get and the higher your gift will appear and the more signups you'll get.

      Once you are having success with the giveaways and you don't need the traffic exchanges anymore it's best to leave them and spend your time with more long-term strategies such as seo (as you've already mentioned).

        Really good video...you also can start with email swaps when you only have 50 or 100 subscribers...so you would swap with marketers with similar list size...I missed the power of adswaps for a long time...adswaps is what the big internet marketers are using...that's how they build their lists of thousands and thousands of subscribers...

          You're absolutely right... it's never too early to start adswaps.

          My mentor recommended that I wait until I had at least 300 subscribers before I started doing email adswaps with other list builders but I think that was based on the assumption that no one would want to swap with you otherwise.

          Today I see many list owners with only 100 subscribers seeking adswaps and if they can find someone with a similar list size then that's fantastic

    them infront of traffic. And the size
    of your list depends on how well your offers
    convert as well as how many eyeballs you get
    infront of them.
