What WSO Would You Recommend To Get Started With Learning Affiliate Marketing?

I'm just getting started with the affiliate marketing side of things. I was wondering what's the Best WSO or strategy that you would recommend to get started with affiliate marketing, whether it be CPA, Amazon, Clickbank etc...?

I would recommend the War Room. You're already a member there, so use the resources in there to get you started.

I second the war room. One price buys all the info in there ... forever. You can buy WSO after WSO, end up with info overload, less money in your pocket, and a bunch of ebooks that don't work, unless you're lucky and hit on something great that works for you.

By the looks of your signature it appears that you should already know how to dive in and make ALOT of money.

Why not just utilize the method that you have either created yourself or are currently promoting?

You know, this really annoys me.

Like most product creators, I know how to do things - and quite happily sell products that teach those things - when I am myself completely unwilling to make my income that way.

There are members right here in this forum who will cheerfully attest that they paid me in excess of $500 a week to write articles, and then you can ask me to write you some articles and watch me say "no."

And then you can go look at the thread where I laid out where I make my money and how much of it I make, and you'll be amazed. Why would I sit here making $150 a week when I could make three and four times that doing something I not only know how to do, but have already done in the past?

Well, I have my reasons. But none of them are in any way a condemnation of freelance article writing, nor are they any sort of advice not to do such a thing yourself, and it certainly doesn't mean I'm some sort of hypocrite to sell a product about article writing.

I myself might very well come in here some day and ask what course I should get on affiliate marketing, if I should ever decide I give a crap about it, and it will certainly not be out of some inability to do anything else.

What I'm promoting in my signature lin and affiliate marketing, CPA, Amazon are two different beast. I didnt ask for help on how to promote my current opportunity I asked what WSO's were a good getting started point for affiliate marketing. Also if I knew the answer or didnt seek out others valuable opinions I wouldnt have asked. So please let's stick to posting positive and productive answers instead of trying to call someone out for no reason.

That's pretty much par for the course. Most newbies in IM think the best idea is to sell Make Money Online stuff right off the bat before they really know how to Make Money Online. What it boils down to is that market is profitable for the experienced and not so much for the unexperienced. There are many more profitable, smaller, easier to conquer niches out there to target.

My apologies for how that comment may have been taken, however it was less of a means of "calling someone out" and more about pointing out what I think is a common mistake that many of us on here are making.

First I will admit that my post offended some people, so in part it is an example of what I am going to be talking about, but I am not perfect either.(I didnt take the right approach in bring this discussion forward either)

However, I think that more people and internet marketers need to try and be a bit more aware of what they say and do online(and offline of course). If you are legitimately trying to draw people in through your signature (which I am assuming most of us try and do) then I think it's important to be aware that anyone reading your signature will also be reading your posts and threads.

Consider especially the fact that warrior forum posts and threads get filed under Google incredibly fast.

Personally, when I am considering buying a product, reading an insightful post, or reading a sales page, I will google the name of the marketer or the name of product. There have been a number of times where I have Google'd( is that a verb in the dictionary yet?) a marketer's name after reading a sales page or email to find warrior forum as one of the top results.

It is amazing how often that Google result leads to a thread were the marketer is asking for help for their struggling business, simply asking questions from a "newbie" perspective, or even pointing out that they are brand new in the industry and need guidance.

Maybe I am alone, but in my opinion that instantly shuts down my "buying mode" and all credibility for that product and sales page goes out the window.

I unfairly brought it up in this post, and my judgment was wrong after reading the thread. I have just seen so much of this as of late, and I really feel that if people are trying to sell an internet marketing product or a WSO they have to remember that all eyes are on them and that everything they write is documented.

CDarkLock, you are someone I have quickly come to respect and you have built up an outstanding reputation. So you asking that question and then promoting a WSO is a whole different story, but it is a common mistake that less successful IM'ers (such as myself) tend to make.

My apologies for jumping to conclusions, but it could be something worth noting.

Sorry aerionmiles. All the best buddy

No hard feelings Drew. You are right about what you said about this being a public forum.

I think I am going to dive in deep at the war room and see what I can pull out of there on the subject.

Definitely join the war room before buying any WSO's. As for the best WSO, well that's like walking into a room full of bakers and asking who bakes the best bread. The longer this thread is here the more opinions you will get and a lot of them will be biased.
Before buying any WSO make sure you read all the posts in a particular WSO thread and after about a week or so you will get a feel for the opinions from people that have purchased.

You were a convenient recent example. Lots of people do the same thing, and it annoys me every time I see it... even when it's clearly true.

After all, I have seen people here in the WaFo asking "How do I get traffic to my website?!" while their signature says "WSO: Get tons of targeted traffic for only $2 a day!"

But even then, there are possible extenuating circumstances. I know some ways to get traffic that I don't like to use. I know some ways that might take too long, or be inappropriate for my needs, or any number of things.

It's hard to tell the difference between "I am a total scammer and cheat" and "I don't really know how to ask my question."

Actually, I'm going to have to come back to this thread, because I have just realised I'm far too drunk to make a sensible reply.

I'm at that stage where all the thoughts and ideas are just barely under that shimmering layer of alchohol, and I feel like I can just reach right through it and grab them, but I'll just grab the wrong bits and say the wrong things and then there will be this big misunderstanding for me to clear up tomorrow.

So yeah, I'm uh, going to bookmark this thread. I'll say something insightful and meaningful later.

Drew, the mistake you're making is this:

It's OK for someone to ask for help on one topic, despite them making good money using another technique or system.

There's so many things I don't know in this business, and I've been doing it for a few years now...and yet, in some areas I can wipe the floor.

I can see the point you were getting at, but I'd take a leaf from your own book and be careful what you say before you say it in public...such as jumping to conclusions.

We've all done it, but gotta watch that one...it's an easy pit.

    Thanks Nick,

I can definitely appreciate the fact that I need to take the play from my own play-book.

I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions. Does anyone else feel that sometimes that there is sort of a draw to over-react when you really start participating on the forum? You just see 10 people doing something that is troubling, and then the 11th one could the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Even though that the 11th person was an innocent bystander? LOL

Once again, I apologize and I've been put in my place. Just needed to kind of get it off my chest...and this forum is often the best place to do so.

    Hey aerionmiles,

Is there any sort of method that you'd prefer to go along with promoting affiliate products ie SEO, PPC, PPV, media buying, list building, etc, or are you just looking for an introduction to affiliate marketing ie what it is, how to sign up, how find your affiliate link, build a page vs. direct link, etc?

Sorry for the longest question in the world. Hope it makes sense.

Just really looking for a report that outlines step by step how to setup to sell a clickbank affiliate offer or to setup to sell amazon products.

    1. I searched the War Room and couldn't find any good and up-to-date threads on getting started as an affiliate. Sorry. Maybe someone else could chime in with a good thread.

    2. I found this WSO by a very respectable Warrior, Raygun:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...maximized.html
It is only a $1 and it seems to be what you are looking for.

    3. I am a member at AffiliIt and it is amazing for the whole range of affiliate marketers, from beginner to advanced. I know Chris, one of the people that run the site and forums is a fellow Warrior. They currently have a $1 trial for 21-days. You could sign up there and get the info you need. (I am in no way affiliated with AffiliIt. I just think it is a great place for affiliates to learn free and paid methods.)
    Internet Marketing Training - Affiliit.com - $1 For 21 Days!

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Check out the free ebook in my signature. Ewen Chia is not called 'Super affiliate' for no reason. By the way, downloading the ebook do not require opt-in.

I've also personally learned a lot of techniques from just reading the Warrior Forum. Some excellent advice and cool methods are shared if you look hard enough.

I think it depends on how you learn best. Do you like to read an ebook and then put the material into action? Would you like to watch videos, hear audios and then take action on the content?

...or would you rather learn directly from someone either by coaching/mentoring or by meeting up with them live in person at their office or an event?

If you're already into other methods and just expanding your knowledge base and income streams, you might be better off to go the coaching/live event model.

Jeremy and Don here on the forum put on some pretty good coaching programs and I know they had a bootcamp on affiliate marketing (not sure if it's still around).

If you're intermediate or advances, find an expert and learn from them directly or as close to it as you can.

I'm going to go with the War Room too ... you'll find a ton in there especially the guide to earning 100K plus per year as an affiliate marketer.

Always go there before buying anything because chances are there is something there to work on first and get to that first base.

Did "everyone else does it" suddenly become a good reason to do things when I wasn't looking?

Because as I recall, pre-teens get asked "well, what if everyone else jumped off a bridge?" - and I generally figured the point had sunk in for most adults.

I understand that a lot of us are cynical, and think "let's see whether this person's unwitting candor and honesty might reflect badly on his or her other business activities." But when I put it like that... doesn't it sound a little unfair?

You don't have to change. Nobody's saying you should do anything as silly as, oh, being fair to people. That's not a very good idea at all.

After all, we're Warriors; we're the cognoscenti of the IM world, and anyone who isn't a Warrior clearly has no clue what they're doing. If you just made your first post here, you must know absolutely nothing about sales, marketing, the internet, or running a business. Because absolutely everybody who knows anything about those things is a Warrior.

I mean, come on. It's not like there's a big wide world out there full of successful people who have never even heard of this forum.
