You will need a graphics software like Gimp (free) or Photoshop (not free) but does come with a 28 day trial period.

If using gimp all psd layers will show as a layer and not a text layer. To solve this you will need to delete the text layers and add your own and save as a default gimp file .xcf

see my warrior blog entry here for more info on doing this.

David,

If you're using an ecover template that requires you play it's photoshop actions, you DO NOT want to resize the template beforehand.

What image editor is your template compatible with? This might solve your own problem.

Photoshop gives you a free 30day trial, and you can download it from adobe's website here: Adobe - Downloads

Hello,

i just made a new cover with a new program. (I used Virtual Cover Creator before, but it is kind of quirky. But i like that with VCC you can add texts)

I used a program called "the logo creator" by laughingbird software, its a commercial program but i REALLY like it. That's how i made the template/logo and texts.
Then i loaded it into "BoxShot3D" which renders the box.

Resizing i do with PaintShop Pro.

I also played around with PhotoShop action scripts...and it really was over my head and not very intuitive ;(
