Whats the best way to track stats?

Hi guys, Noob here
I have just started PPC marketing on CB and I am trying to find how to track my clicks from Google adwords -> my domain -> vendor domain/sale page -> thank you page.

Now I read that you need to contact the vendor and ask him to put your Google analytics on his thank you page.
Is this the only way?
What is the most efficient way to know which KW made the sale.

I found posts here that talk about passing parameters through the clocked link but they are old.

If someone can even direct me to a relevant updated post it would be great.

    Have you tried Tracking 202 or Prosper 202(self-hosted) tracking solutions?
    Both are awesome in tracking your clicks and your sales right down to the individual keyword level. You even have the option to have your Clickbank data pass through, so that you know exactly which keyword got you the sale. Pretty cool stuff I'd say. Go try it, plus it's free!
