Sales down (or up!) this month...?

Hey Guys

I'm sure we all know that sales fluctuate for all sorts of reasons, not least niche, day of the week, holidays etc.

This month (May 2010) has had 10 weekend days and 2 holiday Mondays - that's almost 40% of the month as non-work days.

It all balances out in the end though - being a numbers geek, I just like stats like this

    My sales for may were ok. I always would like to make more, but I am satisfied with where I am at considering my site has Been live for only 2.5 months.

        This month is $65 short of my second best month of the year (Should
        break it easily) with only February (yeah, shortest month of year) beating
        it out.

        Speaking of which, February saw my income jump to 33% above normal for
        me.

        Go figure because I can't.

    I often compare figures from years gone by but even then there's no obvious correlation.

    It does seem to even itself out over time though, IMHO.

      Well, in that case, last May was $800 better, the May 2008 was $1,200
      better, but May 2007 was $2,000 worse. So all in all, this has been an
      average month for me overall.

      I don't have many lows but do have occasional highs, though not many.
      Usually 1 or 2 months out of a year will be unusually high, either because of
      a copywriting job or an extra mentoring student. But ebook sales are
      usually very consistent.

      In fact, they usually never deviate by more than 10% per month.
