Which way would you go...CPA, Affiliate Marketing or Local Business ?

Hi everyone. You can see by my post numbers I am new here. I am not real tech savvy so I will outsource any site building etc. I wanted to get your opinions. If you were just starting out and had little IM experience, would you do CPA marketing, affiliate marketing or offline local business marketing. Which is the most lucrative and easiest to become proficient at. I'm not looking for a get rich quick scheme. Just something that will provide a full time income in a few months and will last if built correctly. I'm not afraid to invest for a long term gain. I have bought at least 15 WSO's in the last couple weeks looking for ideas and now have information overload. They all look great! I want have something set up and running this week although I don't know what yet. I just don't want to get bogged down in analysis forever. Which way would you go??

Thanks!
James

    Hi and welcome.
Starting out in IM, as in many other business, is not easy. It requires a lot of learning, and work. So be patience.
Affiliate products is a good starting point. It is the way many of us started out. The key here is to find the right niches and products and learn a system to apply.

    Good luck.

Well, you would probably enjoy selling my offer to local businesses if you decide to go the offline route.

The problem is that option requires you to be a real expert. Selling on the Internet allows you to be more anonymous and let your sales letters do the selling.

My preference is video marketing. I am comfortable and genuinely enjoy working with my microphone and my camera. The reason why I like video marketing is because there are always fewer videos on the subject you want to target than there are websites. As a trained public speaker, it's child's play to produce videos for me.

Learned a lot just from watching sales videos by our esteemed gurus.

Pick top 5 best ideas and start implementing them.

Don't pick a hypercompetitive niche. You want to get your business systems figured out inexpensively first. Once you get a trickle of cashflow, you can then scale up and turn it into a river.

I run a few startups that address critical business problems. PM or Skype me about joining my direct affiliate programs. My products are business continuity and customer testimonials. Both are unique.

CPA marketing...affiliate marketing..and local business consulting.

You have listed them in the order of how hard it's to make a sale and the commission.

To make it simple -- it all boil down to "selling" something. That it's. So, what do you want to sell?

CPA marketing is selling something. You sell someone else product -- a trial version of something, a survey to fill out or free offer. You get pay per lead. So, it's quite easy to sell these kind of services, you get pay very little.

Affiliate marketing is selling something. You also sell someone else product -- only this time, you get pay a higher commission than CPA marketing. You are getting paid per sale. It can be digital products or physical products.

Local business is also selling something. You are selling a service to help brick-n-motar business establish a prominent online presence. You might get pay more since you are acting as a real-life consulting/sales person facing a real business.

It all boils down to selling something -- whether it's your own product/services or others.

Now, whether you're successful with it is based on variations of marketing techniques. How do you plan to market those type of services/products? Paid advertisement? Blog sites? Organic search results? Joint ventures? Outsourcing?

Find something you're comfortable selling and research ways to market it.

Personally I'd start with affiliate marketing...

There are some key practises in IM that I believe people need to learn and be proficient in. To start I would set up a blog on a interesting niche that recieves some decent attention from people willing to buy products. With this blog I would promote affiliate products and provide genuine information... the key practise to learn here is traffic generation, no traffic - no returns. The advantage of this too is that it can be done completely for free.

There are many ways to start however if you really want to get serious you need to see this as a business and there are key elements to any business. Number one for any business to survive you need sales. Sales are generated by taking your customer through the marketing funnel and in order to take an online customer through any marketing funnel you need a way to keep in contact with them, typically online you create an email subscriber list. Just as offline business has a marketing funnel so should your online business.

Prospect -> Convert -> Service (create loyalty) -> Upsell -> Service -> Upsell...

Well atleast thats the way I see things, if you want to start making the big money...
