Market Products on Facebook

I have been searching around on the hundreds of new Facebook pages created for businesses lately. Is Facebook a new median for pushing your products online? I found it can be very viral by getting a big fan-base on Facebook and then selecting "LIKE" which in return places a back-link on their Facebook wall/profile.

Has anyone really benifited from using Facebook like this? Have your sales increased as a result?

Those who you Facebook just to "push products" will probably fail. On the other hand, it does currently offer alot of true benefits to those who are looking to go beyond that and develop a brand and following. Whether you are a fortune-500 company, or an emerging blogger, Facebook offers you the opportunity to develop your brand, and connect with your followers.....

Building relationships takes time....but, use it in conjunction with your website and blog and it can be invaluable....

As a full time Facebook marketer myself, I have come to understand through the hard way, that there are various features within Facebook that can be used to market your products.

Many would start a Fan Page or a Group, based on their brands, but what bodes well in Facebook, is Fan Page or Group which is started based on an Interest, pretty much like a comparison between a Fan Page that is called "ABC Gardening Ltd" and "USA Gardening Group"

The second one would be a better bet to gather numbers, as it is focused more on interest rather than brand pushing. From there, once you got the masses, it would then require the marketer to build relationship by offering gardening tips, and over time, send them to your website to monetize via your products and services.

    Hope this helps you. Cheers!

Facebook has huge daily traffic, but I think that it will not bring to you so much targeted traffic as you want.
People will click on your ads by curiosity and not by need.
So I think that PPC in Facebook may not be so effective as adwords or yahoo. But that's only my opinion.

People don't go onto Facebook to shop. They go on to connect with friends, find out about local events and get in discussions about their favorite topics..kinda like this forum.
The way to be successful with Facebook/Twitter and all Social Media, you need to provide content that is interesting enough for people to read, become a leader in your industry and have a link to your website or landing page someone in your Fan Page/Group or profile.

Nice tip, also to add there. We have to make the Pages and Groups topics which makes it go viral within a group of people.

@OP: In regards with using the LIKE button on your website. What I suggest is placing some viral content whether that be text, audio or video on an external website and then marketing that page to different people all at once. You need to touch that tipping point of "some" people to make it go viral. But, in the end anything which excites someone and make them take action is something which can bring most traffic.

This is a remarkable and helpful response vckloong.... Inline with this, I would like to ask you a question which I think you might find it irrelevant as a veteran marketer in facebook but would be very helpful on my part since I am really stuck on this one....

How do you exactly get and increase your fans or members on a certain page on facebook? I got so few in one page and to think I'm planning to create another for my other product....

I am really stuck on this one.......Hoping for your helpful response....

      Thank you in advance.....

Yes, but some of them quits your page from the moment you start promoting your product.... And that's the part I start to panic....
