Default A Way to Track the Stats of Forum Posts...

Is there a way for individual users to track forum posts (besides the 'view' count)? Maybe a way to collect more detailed statistics?

I suspect there is. And by viewing this thread, I'll tell you if it works or not.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but if it's what I think you might want to be careful.

If you get caught in our cookie stuffing trap you will regret it next time it runs ....

Yes, after viewing the source of your post I would say you need to be very careful... :-)

Oh no...no cookie stuffing anything, Allen. Just curious if there's a way to see what date/time posts are most viewed. Specifically for the WSO area. Within the initial post, is simply a link to a transparent PNG. I'm wondering if a transparent PNG can be used to 'track' post statistics.

You could use any image to track. Doesn't have to be transparent.

You could also use flash to do some tricks.

That's all I'm saying though.

I knew you weren't cookie stuffing :-), problem is most cookie stuffing strategies use hidden images and things like that. I'm not much up on the subject so can't talk intelligently about it but that's what the script is for..
