Any "under construction" " plug-in?

I am trying to make some changes to the appearance of my blog ( a new theme and minor changes such as new pages, new about me, contact and etc). But, I am not very good at it, so it may take a while and it would be a kind of trial and error thing where I change a thing, look at the blog live and see if its right or not.

Obviously I don't want visitors to see this and be confused when they see different looks each time they click on a link on my blog, and see it go back and forth.

Is there any "under maintenance" or "under construction" kind of plug in out there that I could use? Or is there any plug in that will allow me to work on the blog, but visitors will see the blog as it is now, until I have made all the changes and decide to make it permanent?
I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

(I know I could work on a them on a sub domain, but it wont work for me as I have to do it on my actual blog because of some of the plug-ins and features. I am not very technical so I cant really explain how or why)

Try extracting the files on your computer and place it in the wordpress plugin folder through ftp.

Thanks for the advice Exfilius, the thing is, if you use such plug-ins, would you be able to work on your blog and see it live, or would you be(as the administer or what have you) seeing the same thing (maintenance mode) as other people would see?
The reason I ask that is because as I said, I am not very technical so it would be a situation where I have to change and look at it live to see if I did it right or not. I don't know if it makes sense or not. Hoping someone could help with this. thanks again guys.

You can set up your temporary blog on your local machine using XAMPP. If you do not know how to set it up with XAMPP, just google it (that's how I learned it). After that apply the same theme and create posts, pages, etc and once you are satisfied use the export function in wordpress tools section and import the file in your live wordpress installation. Turn off the "under construction" plugin and your site is live.

Thanks for the reply Exfilius, I remember doing that when I first started the whole blogging thing about 9 months ago, and I did it the same way, researched and red about online, but I was having so much problems with it and it was taking so much time that I just gave it up and found another theme which was kind of what I was looking for. This time I am trying to work on "passion duo blue" them by dailyblogtips. I love that theme, but need to make a few minor changes. Maybe I will try your method once again. Thank you.
By the way if anyone knows of A blog, post, article or what have you that has some information or guides on modifying this them, I would appreciate if you would share it with me. Thanks.
