    Check out my Free Link Cloaker: http://www.affiliatenichemonster.com...-link-cloaker/

    Instructions:

    1) Enter the title and web address (including the http:// prefix) of the target web page.

    2) Click on the Generate Cloak HTML button to generate the cloaked web page code.

    3) Click anywhere in the Cloaked HTML box to select all of the text.

    4) Right-click on the selected text and select "Copy" (or press CTRL-C) to copy the text to the Clipboard.

    5) Paste the code into a BLANK text file, save it as "mypage.html" (or whatever you want to call it).

    6) Upload the file to your web server. You're ready to go!

    First open notepad....

    Paste this in:

    <?php
    header("Location:http://www.youraffiliateoffer.com-aka-long-@ss-url-link/?affiliateID");
    php?>

    Save as whateverproduct.php

    Then on your site use this html:

    <a href="http://yourdomain.com/whateverproduct.php">click this here</a>

      That won't cloak the affiliate link, it just redirects, which reveals your affiliate id...

      Here's how you can hide your affiliate link and really cloak your affiliate link:

        touche,

        here is a frame that can work to 'on the surface' hide what you're promoting to the naked eye:

        <html>
        <head>
        <meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="en-us">
        <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
        <title>Welcome to ____</title>
        </head>
        <body>
        <iframe
        src ="http://youraffiliateproductdomain.com/hp/?affil=28xxxx"
        width="100%" height="100%">
        </iframe>
        <p>Welcome to whatever...
        </p>
        </body>
        </html>

        or scratch that <p></p> part

      Great advice...but you're two years too late (original post was back in 2008). Back then, bit.ly was just a start up and their service was pretty much still in "beta" testing mode. It wasn't really until 2009 when they hit their stride and had their link shortening service functioning optimally.

    To cloak a site URL to make the link shorter,you can use Tinyurl.com or Budurl.com.I have used them,and I can tell you they are good.

    Ups!
