submp3s - ^^^^^^ That is a great response and the first thing I used when I first started, so OP, start there!

This is what I would do in a NUTSHELL:

Pick a Clickbank product that is of high gravity for desperate buyers, generally a health or body issue:

Panic Attacks
Yeast Infections
Weight Loss
Stop Smoking
etc.

Make sure you choose one with high gravity (above 50 as a start) to make sure it is selling, and find a product that pays over $40 a sale.

This then means you only need to make around 25 sales a month, which isn't even 1 a day! If you choose a product with the usual $20-25 a sale, you need to make double the sales!

Then..........

Keyword Research:

Check out Market Samurai free trial. Watch the help vids and keyword research will become easier. What you are looking for is an exact keyword rich domain name with at least 50 searches a day!

You want a .com, .org or .net, this will be our landing page!

This is for the long term goal of SEO!

Once you have your domain, take a selection of similar keywords, fire up a Wordpress blog, load it with UNIQUE articles (about 5) on your related keywords and then add your affiliate links!

Then you are going to be hitting article marketing hard........

For quick traffic, articles are the way to go. I would aim to write 5+ articles every single day for the next 30 days. You will make sales and as your article base grows so will the traffic!

There are many traffic generation techniques out there such as videos, forums etc. but article marketing is the easiest for anyone new and will also generate traffic super fast!

Submit your articles to Ezinearticles and as and when they get approved, take them and resubmit them to all the other main article directories. You don't need to rewrite them, just submit them. This will help with SEO but it will also drive more traffic.

This is your first traffic stop!

Next, when you can fit it in, you will want to social bookmark your website to as many social bookmarking sites as possible. You can also social bookmark your articles too! Blog comments as well to increase the traffic a little more!

You may also like to look at video creation and marketing too, but it depends on your skill level. If you want to earn within 30 days. Build the site, use articles to market initially and bring other things in as you learn them!

It talks about how it takes just as much effort to market high end products as it does low end products. There also some good affiliate sites that sell high end products on this thread.

With clickbank, if you go to CBENGINE - ClickBank Marketplace, Preferred by ClickBank Affiliates, you are able to sort products in order of earnings per sale. I'm not sure if you need the paid version though - but you may be able to do it without the premium membership. (I'd take a look but I'm not able to access cbengine at present - behind a firewall)

I would choose a high end product on clickbank (there are some on there that get you over $100), and then make sure it's a good sales page and that there is an excellent conversion rate. If there is a good conversion rate and it's a high end, then you will need to write far less articles.

Many vendors on clickbank will publish the conversion rate of their sales pages (especially if its good) - if they don't I email them for it. Anyways you'll be able to get a rough idea from the sales page itself.

It depends on each site!

This is a very quick explanation. Following it, will make you money! Once you know how, you can tweak, test, improve and add other streams of traffic and income.

But it is a foundation! The biggest income killer in IM is not taking action. Having a simple plan like this, gets you taking action without thinking to much. Once you are up and running, you see money being made and you push on from there!

What you make per site depends on many factors, product conversion, amount of traffic etc.

That is sound advice. One of the biggest mistakes article marketers do is not producing enough articles.

Remember the rolling stone theory and get your stone as big as possible as soon as possible and then keep adding content. If time is an issue, outsource it. (shameless plug - my site below can help in that regard)

Or write them yourself. Just do it though.

If you want big results you have to go big too!

do i understand you correctly, i have to load at least 5 unique articles and wait for the search engine to notice that my site is up before i add my affiliate links?

also, are 5 articles be enough as the content of my site or should i constanly update my site with new content?

lastly, can the articles be the same for the content of my site and the ones being used for article marketing?

No, as you load us up the articles, add your affiliate links right away!

I have sites competing in the top 3 for competitive keywords with around 5 articles on, but I find that once you get established a little in the SEs, then adding content now and again (once a week even) is a good thing to do and it helps! Google loves constant fresh content!

I would use completely UNIQUE articles for your site!

Choose one product from clickbank marketplace and start driving traffic to your affiliate link through article. marketing, video marketing, ppc marketing....check if traffic is converting...if not is converting promote another related product....

Choose a product to promote that pays well and has low competition because it's new (check out mine if you like ) there's some ideas for how to promote CB products in the affiliate area.

You can go for the top sellers but unless you've got some experience then you'll find it very competitive and hard because most of those sales are usually being made by just a few top affiliates who probably got in early so they have domains, keywords, campaigns etc optimized.

As has already been said if you're only looking for "free ways" then article marketing is probably your best option, but you'll be hard pushed to get $1,000 in 30 days without any guidance and support though,

  Agree with one of the answers above. Without good guidance $1000, in 30 days will be tough but not impossible at all. Be prepared to get those good articles out there. I would recommend that you do at least 2 per day. That should get you some good traffic. Oh' by the way, here is a good tip for doing your signature/bio in those articles.
  
  Do a search in Google for your main keywords, then copy the format/wording of the most attractive adword advt. that shows up for that keyword. Most experienced adwords advertiser are very good at writing good copies!

Go where the money is, copy those making money ( I DO NOT mean stealing content or designs ), look into TM terms, and drive fast paid traffic. Just don't lose your shirt in the process buddy

OR...

Start bummin...seriously. You might not hit the first $1K in your first month, but alter your method over the course of a month or two, and you should see something.

I use article marketing to promote any type of business or product for free. I usaully just find keywords with 100-1000 searches a month with low competition and target those keywords.

A few years back you could easily hit this mark by submitting an article a day to EZA for 30 straight days and if you wanted to increase sales you simply increased your article submissions.

Now, I would find 5 hot keywords for your niche and submit an article a day for each keyword phrase for at least 30 days but I would branch out from just using EZA and include Buzzle, Articlesbase, Goarticles and Yahoo Answers.

Also, if you wanted to speed the income generation process up I would find a PLR product similar to a product that you were considering promoting on Clickbank and just promote the PLR product instead so that the income created would be almost instantaneous and paid directly to your Paypal account.

I'd make short teaser videos, upload them to Tubemogul, and continue to do that with as many Clickbank products as possible.

It's not likely that you'll make $1000 in the next month. Highly unlikely in fact. It's best to have a strategy that is going to build up and continue to bring you money over time.

PLR stands for Private Label Rights.

Tim's suggestion is that, if you want quick cash, it might be better to sell a PLR product (a product that you get the rights to sell) rather than promote someone else's product.

By promoting someone else's product (be it Clickbank, Amazon, or whatever), you have to wait for the commission to be paid. If you sell your own product (or a product you bought the rights to sell), you get the money right away.

Dont limit yourself to just the regular article directories. I like to put articles on content sites that pay per click and allow affiliate links (check the TOS).

One of my nice performing articles has made me around $800 in Adsense click money PLUS it sends a stream of traffic to one of my sites and resulted in affiliate sales.

Other articles that have included direct links to Amazon have resulted in not only sales of the product in the link but also additional sales as the consumer clicked around Amazon.

Content site writing can lead to traffic and earn money at the same time.

Sometimes social bookmarkng will get you fast traffic - faster than articles but not as sustainable.
