I'm a total newb to internet marketing, but I want to learn a way to make money online. Where would I start?

  • HI,

Firstly I would say prepare yourself for some unexpected comments. Many come here and ask the question and it rubs some people up the wrong way. Don't take it personally.

Secondly, prepare for it to take a little time. Success very rarely comes as rapidly as some would have you believe.

Thirdly you will see lots of posts on here suggesting that this approach is the holy grail only to see someone say that nothing works but this. There's lots of contradictory advice. This runs the risk of pulling newbies in differing directions. What you end up doing is chasing various schemes, never really giving one of them the chance to succeed.

My suggestion is to consider what you can already do well and whether it aligns to internet marketing. If you're stuck in this area, go along to the warriors for hire section of the fourm and see if you can't make some money selling some of those services while you learn about the other wyas of getting to an automated income model in order to build your confidence.

And whatever you do - don't buy one product after another after another without giving the first one a real chance to succeed.

    Good luck

Some great advice there by Andrew

    I'd like to ask:
Any products that you've bought in the past?
    How did that work?
What exactly have you worked at in the past and what dimensions of IM are you already familiar with?

I ask this because many people have a different definition of a Total Newbie so wanted to get a clear idea.

    Thanks
    Maddi
