Any of you OFFLINE Marketers have a phone script you can Post?

Do any of you use phone scripts? I have a company I was going to contract with for two weeks. I have the businesses and business owners already (all local to me, not going nationwide), but they want me to provide a script.

I dont really have one. I want to provide a full internet marketing package ased on the businesses possible ROI. Just getting on the first page of google is pretty much worthless in this area.

Any of you have a phone script?

    Well what you are looking for is a telesales script. Do a search in Google and you will find a lot of information.

    The only thing you will have to do is customize the script to the business you will be dealing with.

    I would not use a script. I tried that a couple times and it always sounds much better in rehearsal than in a life conversation. It is much better to just study up on what you are going to talk about and use your own words as they naturally come out ion conversation.

    And I used to work for a telemarketing firm many years ago. I can tell you that when you stop the script and just talk naturally not only will it be much less stressful but your conversions will be higher. Trust me on that.

    What I found helpful was practicing with someone I knew. I would pretend they were the person I was going to speak with and just start talking. You learn a lot more than you may think with this method.

    In my experience it's really hard to sell a full internet marketing package using a telemarketing approach. The problem is that most business owners are already swamped with calls all day long with people promising them amazing results. Basically they don't believe any of it anymore. Plus selling an internet marketing package requires a consultative selling approach and no matter how detailed you make the script you can't make a telemarketer sound like a professional consultant.

    The approach I use is to first sell education and then upsell to marketing services. You could create an educational event and then use the telemarketing firm to fill the seats. You could make it a free event or a paid event.

    The key is to plan the small steps in your sales process. Only use the telemarketing firm to get people to take the first step. After that use your consulting skills to turn a prospect into a customer.

    I just call people up and talk to them about their business. No script can replace an actual conversation.

      That's all you need to do, just talk with them. But remember when your finished even if they don't use your services thank them VERY much for their time.
