Hey guys,

I'm looking for a shopping cart provider. I'm fed up with 1SC and I've found a few that looked good only to be lacking a few features I need.

I came across premiumwebcart.com and was wondering if anyone uses this or has any opinions to share. I looked online and all I could find were promotional reviews, no legitimate ones.

Also, it needs to integrate with Wishlist Member. I talked to Josh, and he said he's had others that have integrated successfully. I was wondering if anyone could help me out on this as well.

Thanks!

~ Brad

Zen Cart is my first preference, Once you learn to get around (which can take a while), it is easy to use and very rich in features, very good forum support.

    Brad,

Have you looked at E-junkie Shopping Cart for selling downloads & tangible goods. I use them on a few sites they work very well.

I'm looking for a good cart to integrate into a wordpress site. Zen Cart looks great but doesn't seem to integrate nicely.

Brad I've been looking at using 1SC, why is it you are unhappy with them?

    I'm in the market too.

I've been using Ultracart and their system (IMO) if freakin' horrible. It's a pain in the butt to integrate anything, their reporting is garbage, and to process a refund is like a guessing game whether or not it's gone through or not.

I remember coming across a shopping cart that was "made for Internet Marketers" where you could easily integrate upsells, downsells, cross-sells, etc.. as well as digital delivery and a slew of other options.

I'll keep looking around for it and if I find a link I'll post it.

    All the best,

e-junkie and zencart are too low profile for the kind of stuff I want to be doing with a shopping cart. For one I don't want a self hosted solution, too much hassle setting it up.

1SC is easy to setup, and they are fairly easy to use. However, they are expensive at $99 a month for upsells (why doesn't their lower plan include them!) and now $39 a month extra for support. I don't like the way they store CC information, and their affiliate program doesn't work well. They also don't do recurring billing through paypal, which is a huge bummer.

I've checked out Premium Web Cart's trial and so far it's awesome! I don't see anything I don't like so far. I talked to the creator, and he said he built it as a direct response to 1SC's flaws.

I'm hoping someone here can point out SOME flaws, there are none anywhere listed on any review sites or testimonials. I love the way they do coupons though, and they are very easy.

Have you done any testing of their new
"click to call" system to see if it really
    boosts sales as they claim?

I have live chat going (that helps a LOT)
and I have a toll free number so I did not
know if I really needed to bother with a
click to call system on top all that.

    Hi All,

I'm also looking for a shopping cart.

I found this great review site for shopping carts (and other stuff). There also comment from real people - it makes very interesting reading. Unfortunately, I can't post the proper URL to this forum, as I haven't made 15 posts yet! Here's my approximation:

scamdetective dot com slash eCommerce-Tools slash Premium-Web-Cart-

I've nothing to do with this site, but, it looks genuine to me.

Sounds like a great product - I wonder if they can handle companies from the UK - I'll have to find out tomorrow!

    Regards,

    Paul.

Cydec carts have some features that may appeal to you if you're
selling information products. MarketersCart.com runs on Cydec,
but I've seen others using the same script.

    Nanacast is very feature-rich.

I use Delavo which has a lot of features too.

I know they do integrate with Wishlist
but I wonder why you really need to
use Wishlist since Premium Web Cart
already has a high end membership
    system already included?

You can actually set up an unlimited
number of membership systems that are
    are branded completely differently.

Is there something special that Wishlist
provides that Premium Web Cart does
    not include?

Yes, their system has the drip feed built right in
and you can drip feed based upon the different
membership levels i.e. Bronze might need to wait
3 months while Silver waits only 2 months and Gold
        gets it right away.

You can really configure it any way you choose.

I think you have to host it yourself, unless I've misunderstood their website.

This means that you have to worry about PCI compliance (required by Visa / Mastercard) yourself - if you use a cart hosted by someone else, they worry about it and if anything bad happens, they get the blame (and probably a very large fine!)

If you host it yourself, you will also have to pay a company to check that you comply.

      Regards,

      Paul.

Paul you may want to research the PCI compliance issue.
Just because you use a 3rd party host does NOT let you off the hook if your shopping cart is compromised.
If you use a 3rd party PAYMENT system you can breath easier but not if you use a 3rd party cart system.

        There is a difference.

Thats why Zencart removed their manual credit card processing "plugin" on their latest release.
For them to be approved as a PCI compliant cart system the only payment systems they left in the software were 3rd party processors such as Paypal and authorize.net

PCI Compliance Guide Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the penalties for noncompliance?
A: The payment brands may, at their discretion, fine an acquiring bank $5,000 to $100,000 per month for PCI compliance violations. The banks will most likely pass this fine on downstream till it eventually hits the merchant. Furthermore, the bank will also most likely either terminate your relationship or increase transaction fees. Penalties are not openly discussed nor widely publicized, but they can catastrophic to a small business. It is important to be familiar with your merchant account agreement, which should outline your exposure.

    Hey guys,

wishlist member is an incredible program that premium web cart doesn't even come close to emulating. It allows you to have multiple membership levels, create a sequential course, and have levels that flow from one into another (by this I mean, I can have a video up that only bronze and silver can access, I don't have to put it up twice, once for bronze and once for silver) and it's all within the wordpress panel, which means I can protect pages and posts. This is very important to me and my clients.

I also happen to be a certified wishlist member developer, so I'm obviously going to use it a lot

Premium Web Cart seems pretty awesome so far. My trial period is up, I've hired a guy to work on a wordpress plugin to integrate it with wishlist member, let me know if any of you are interested in making this a commercial option.

Just an FYI ... Premium Web Cart is already integrated
      with WishList
so if you choose to use WishList
you'll have an out of the box solution to handle the billing,
recurring billing, automatic member suspension, etc.

It's not the basic "member creation" like 1shoppingcart
offers - it's a "real" integration that handles it all.

The price is right too ...it's FREE. All included with
their system already ...and FREE is my favorite price -

    Hey guys,

I just got a PM asking if I was successful in this endeavor from a guy named Mike. I don't have enough posts yet to PM him back, so I thought I'd share with all of you.

I had a programmer who was successful in integrating the two services. We are now working together to make a solution available to others, and it should be finished by the end of July. So keep in contact and I'll probably be able to help you out! The timeline right now will probably be moved back a little just because the new Wishlist API works completely differently than the old one, and we're having issues with it.

Hope this helps you all out!

Go the ubercart + drupal route. You can import all your wordpress blog content over to a drupal blog, then it will be nice and integrated w/ you cart.

Premium Web Cart.... Easy to use, great support, built in affiliate program, support desk, can be used on multiple web site easily, everything my clients wants.

Tried cydec twice, It just did not work out, and their support was pretty poor.

I have customers 2 that are running membership sites and they use WishList member and Premium Web Cart. We are using a wordpress plugin to complete the recurring payment integration between the 2 and it meets their needs exactly. Gets the new users through the signup process quickly so that it reduces the number of "I could not get into the site" users that want a refund.

Does Premium Web Cart take care of spam complaints and clean those up for you? I was told 1ShoppingCart takes care of this and it's supposedly one of the great reasons to use them.

OK I wasted most of my Saturday going through the videos to set things up in 1ShoppingCart, but it is not working. I'm of above-average intelligence, so this is really making me mad. I went through their videos, did everything they said to do, clicked to test the opt-in box code to see if it worked, and it never sent anything to any of the email boxes I tried.

Then I went back through the videos and the user guide AGAIN to see what I missed.

The only thing I can tell is they might have turned off some of the features during the 30-day trial for $3.95, which is stupid because how can you sell me on the fact that I need to buy this service if I can't even use it during the 30 days?

Now I'm in a pinch and need to get this stuff set up immediately.

I'm looking at the comparison page on Premium Web Cart's web site and wonder if I should give them a try.

It says their trial includes the full program.

Here's the biggie, though. Is it easy to figure out how to set this stuff up in Premium Web Cart?

I'm not a big techie person. I don't understand html, but I do understand adding pages, posts, photos, etc., to WordPress, if that's anything similar to setting up stuff in Premium Web Cart.

I need to set up the opt-in code and box for the initial ezine, and thank you page with the free downloads, immediately, and then move on to adding the autoresponders for all of the days to follow initial contact, add products, etc.

Oh -- and another thing -- the video tutorials with 1SC do not match the menus and dashboard when you go in to follow what they are telling you to do, step by step. That is so annoying.

It depends on your funds situation. As another poster said, if you need a decent amount of custom functionality - ubercart/drupal is a definite win. We have developed some insane stuff using this. For a straight forward cart that's stable, easy to customize, and plenty of features for normal selling and marketing, I'm a big fan of pinnaclecart.com (I host myself).

Hi, I am just checking if you did choose to use Power Web Cart and if so, how you liked it? I used Infusionsoft for 2 years and abandoned it because it was too confusing and took to much $$$$ in programming for me to use it. I signed up for the free trial of 1 Shopping Cart but am not impressed with the e-mail functionality and I love Aweber and would prefer to stick with it. I saw PWC can integrate with Aweber (Yay!).
