I think it would depend largely on where you're at already.

If you don't yet have basic IM understanding, I would first buy myself a Warroom membership.

Separately, I'd decide which business models seem most interesting to you i.e. PPC, affiliate marketing, ecommerce, etc., then find a couple of the more highly-regarded ebooks or courses.

From there, I'd invest the money in the business model of your choice.

Assuming you already have some basic knowledge and understanding, I'd go with some aspect of affiliate marketing. I'd invest in one of the good keyword research tools such as Market Samurai or MicroNiche Finder.

Learn the keyword research tool, and spend some time developing a few strong keyword phrase group candidates.

Then I'd look in the 'Warriors for Hire' section and have someone put together a nice Wordpress installation, with a decent custom graphic header, etc. Make sure you have Analytics and Webmaster Tools set up.

I'd outsource perhaps 40 articles @ $5/ea. Use half and set them up to drip-feed daily. Use the other half to post on Web 2.0 sites, article directories, etc.

I'd spend perhaps another $100 or so, again in the 'Warriors for Hire' section getting some reputable linkbuilders (Don & Jeremy come to mind) to create backlinks.

I'd watch my GA/WMT data closely. As I started getting some rankings, I'd spend a little more on articles specifically targeting the areas that seem to be doing best.

Lather, rinse, repeat. You should be able to afford to do that a few times, improving your understanding and technique each time. Before your money runs out, you should hopefully start generating enough income to keep the process going, start banking some revenue, and begin to scale up.

      nice suggestion man. thanks.

i do have a basic understanding f IM. problem is, i am having a hard time in implementing all the things that i know.

i have no experience in creating a website and i think that a website is the main foundation of IM success. correct me if im wrong. in addition, i know i can always outsource it to someone else but the problem is, i do not know what instructions i am going to give.

So, you want to outsource something you have no clue of yourself? That's a recipe for disaster, tbh.

You should only outsource when not outsourcing costs you money.

Don't do it because you're lazy or because you don't know how, it'll come back to bite you in the ass.

I started with about $1000 as well. It was all I needed to get started. Just be
careful in what you spend money on. Peronally I spent money on domains &
hosting, and services that make life easier

I would promote amazon affiliate program and start making $100 to $200 a day

      here goes

      1. Hire a writer at $2 an article

      2. go to amazon bestsellers list. find 100 bestselling products across multiple categories. write 100 reviews -$200.

      3. Hire an person to open hub pages for each article and link to amazon with amazon associate id -$200

      4. Hire full time seo person for 2 months $600 to link to all the articles, if you have a blueprint you can easily get all your articles ranked

While doing this you will make sales with a 100 products. Once you find winners then open blogs and drive traffic

Rinse and repeat. With taking massive action like this and outsourcing the writing, building hub and link bulding with a solid plan you will easily make your money back quickly

      rinse and repeat.

And this is the best time to be an amazon afiiliate. go to alexa each and watch the trends for how much people are spending on amazon

If you follow this simple steps you are on your way

The key.... momentum and hard work. build pages every day. use the amazon product names as your keywords and success awaits you

With $1000 I would look at starting a small, sustainable business. Good ideas are website design, buying a small franchise, or anything you want to do really within a realistic time frame.

If I had the $1000 now I would invest it wisely. But that is just me.

Its possible to develop an affiliate product with all branding for $1000. That way you are building something that will continue to pay off. Can never have too many articles either.

As others have stated, the most important place to start is to choose one business model. Until you do that, you really won't have any idea how to spend your $1,000 effectively. If you want to build adsense or affiliate sites, then you will need to spend some money on hosting, getting articles written, and promotion. Another possible investment would be in Market Samurai for good keyword research.

However, if you are more interested in going for paid traffic, then you would obviously want to use your money to buy traffic. So the first thing you really need to do is decide on a business model, then look at what you'll need to invest for that model.

Spend $250 to outsource 30 articles.

Spend $20 on an awesome product review.

Spend $50 to get a wordpress niche blog nicely designed.

Spend $50 on some backlinking for that blog.

Submit the articles to article directories pointing to the awesome product review on the wordpress site, make some quick sales and flip the site for 10x profit.

    ...and pocket the rest

      1. Find a good coach...it will help you cut out wasted steps and make you define your goals and stay focused.

      2. Things like, Why are you in internet marketing? I know the money.. no really what are you going to do with it and What is your timetable? etc.

      3. Your mentor will direct you to purchase only the tools you need for the business model you will implement. Saves a lot of $$

      4. You need a long term/medium term/short term strategy, then you can talk about tactics to complete your strategy.

old saying.. No one plans to fail... they just fail to plan.

If you don't know where you are going.... any route will get you there!!

      Best of luck

If I was you I'd really stick to the basics of learning some core aspects of internet marketing. You really don't have to spend any more than a few bucks to understand some fundamentals. I know I mention this a lot, and I promise I have no affiliation with it, apart from having done it myself but I really recommend doing the thirtydaychallenge.com. Sticking to it, getting it done. After you are done I bet you any money that you will have a far better idea of where to put your money.

I see folks suggest you outsource, outsource what exactly? You don't even know what works yourself yet. You will, you just need to spend some time getting your feet wet and learning yourself what works before passing it on to others.

Best of luck! Don't give up!

Invest in Aweber, have a squeeze page created, and put the rest into adwords.

That's probably the simplest way to get started as an affiliate.

Depends on what your passionate about - what you like to do - those who don't plan, plan to fail as they say...

If you enjoy helping others, talking to others, seeing positive economic change for others...

You can invest the $1,000 into your own consulting business!

    1. Identify a niche in your local area you want to target (say chiropractors) and you expand from there to other cities or to other niches - say plumbers.

    2. Contact them to offer web services, SEO services, social media (a variety of internet marketing services you can offer and outsource here or at scriptlance.com or odesk.com)

    - you can contact them in various ways (fedex to them, follow up via phone, email and follow up via phone etc.)

    3. Then you get referrals from that first customer and you are off to the races!

    Cheers, Maria
