INTERNET MARKETING

Hi Guys,
Sorry this is a newbie question, but I just want to make sure I get it right.
I put my website up last night. And I want to submit it on Digg first before I start any backlinking etc. The site deals with baby products. Do I just submit the site and put a baby product picture on it and write a few lines on the description of my website. or do I write some form of article? It is just to get Google to crawl my site
