Posting link in Forums... can it be click fraud?

Hi, I have built a new niche site which I want to eventually start advertising. I am already leaving blog comments and Ezine articles, but I have a question on something. I want to leave links on forums I'm on (in my sig) and want to know if sites like Adsense (I'm currently using Adbrite, however) would consider it click fraud if someone clicked on their ads from the link in the forums.

Thanks!

Well I didn't think so I already had issues with Adsense and didn't want to ruin my chance with someone else. I attempted to install Adsense last year to one of my sites but I don't think I ever did, and now after a year later they keep saying I don't have an account as to my application is still being in review. I questioned this in Adsense forums, but all they said is I have to wait and I can't find a real way to contact Adsense to see if this could be lifted, because I barely even used them before I ran into issues. Which is why I went with Adbrite

you mean clicked on your sig link to then get to your site, to then click the adsense link that is fine

click fraud is clicking on your own ads or having someone do it for you or automate the clicks and impressions with some tools.

as a site owner and online marketer, you are allowed to promote your site and having a sig link is just one method of promotion, NOT click fraud

putting sig link on forum linking to your adsense site can pose certain risks however. if you make some good friends(?) online, they might LOVE you so much that they can click the hell out of your ads meaning a nice email form google. happened a lot in the past

That is not a problem at all. You should never have an issue with legitimate traffic that you bring to your site clicking on ads.
