The Power of Article Marketing

Article Marketing has been around for some time. Even before the Internet boom! Articles about products, about activities which get people interested in products have always found a place in magazines and newspapers. Recently Article marketing has started going hand in hand with Search Engine Optimization. Articles are being written and pointed to pages of interest to the writer. The articles have content which complements the page being pointed to. This leads to a better "Page Rank" of the page in question.

The question is, IS article Marketing worth the effort? I believe there is no clear cut answer to this. This really depends upon the quality of the article. But one thing is for sure, you WILL get a whole lot of traffic. Is your article convincing and informative enough is left to you. Here are a few PROS and CONS of article marketing.

PROS:

•Article Marketing generates targeted traffic. The readers of our article will ONLY visit your site if they're interested in it and like your article.
•Article Marketing generates good backlinks! This one's a no brainer. More links = improved SERPS.
•Article marketing sites have a lot of in site traffic. This is true, most article marketing sites have their own SEO-ed ways of getting good traffic to THEIR sites, which opens new doors to traffic when they read your articles.
•Articles written in article directories can get published! Both on paper and electronically. This can really improve your exposure!

CONS:

•Writing quality articles takes time and effort. Sometimes the same amount of effort can be spent working on your own site instead of on an article site.
•Posting to many article directories is manual "boilerplate" work. You may need to invest in article submission software (which do not always work) , or hire people to post.
•SOME article sites have the habit of rejecting your articles for no apparent reason!

Those are the ones I could come up with! Please add any new ones you can come up with!

Content is King as always and therefore it explains why article marketing or everything that goes along giving valuable content is highly needed by the public.

Both of these CONS can be eliminated by outsourcing - if you can find a qlaity source. Then there is only your issue of rejection from some, but this will always be the case - in larger numbers though this also becomes irrelevant.

Imo article marketing is huge and expands into much wider SEO practices than just submitting to article directoreis - "better" forms imo could be submitting to web2.0 sites, using them to build "link wheels / farms" to link your articles together and back to yourself, and even getting guest posts on popular blogs in your niches.

Was just about to mention this. (about eliminating the CONS with outsourcing). It's a beautiful thing, if done right. This is a whole 'nother art and science in and of itself.

Yea well thats what i said. You either need a decent software or outsource. In terms of quality i've found out that outsources articles arent that great. I guess the article writer is not as motivated as you are!

Content is King no doubt about it. If your articles are being rejected or declined, change your writers and opt for quality rather than quality.

If it's your articles being rejected, practice writing until you improve.

    Hi...

I'd like to add a "pro".

Articles give you the opportunity to "pre-sell" the reader, even before he/she gets to your moneysite/offer.

So if you have a site that promotes an affiliate product on hypnosis, writing articles on the benefits of hypnosis can get the reader "warmed up" and much more likely to at least consider the affiliate product you are promoting.

    Much Success,

I have been outsourcing a lot this year via oDesk and buying articles from members of forums. I have gone through about 15 content writers and only continue to hire 2 of them. It takes some lost time/effort/money to find a good writer, but It has been working out for me.
