Did You Do The 1st Sale Newbie Dance?

Got an email from someone (Sean Morrisey I think) asking this very question, as it really hit home.

So what exactly did you do when you made your first sale online?

For me, man this is embarrassing, I just spread out my arms (christ-like pose) shouted out ''Who is the man!!" and then let out an ironic ''Yee Haw!!" in front of my rather startled dog.

But I've a funny feeling that I'm not the only one...or am I?

I got my first few clicks on adsense in the last couple weeks. and i smile then said ...yeaaah!

now 5 dollars later.. bit depressed about it, so I have to keep at it. More sites, more content, more traffic, more clicks!

I actually did nothing, yea, I felt satisfied and it was "THE" moment, but I just continued clicking without a slight change on my face.

It was seven cents from Adsense - I got seven shiny pennies and framed them and put it on my desk

(And I did the happy dance and i.m.'d my husband!)

    Peace,

    Roey.

I remember that my very first sale resulted in me turning around and telling my SO, who promptly said "that's it?!" I put my nose to the grindstone after that and figured out that I needed to be turning out a lot more sales to make the kind of money that I wanted to make.

My first sale was $50 for some dish network (it was way too long ago to remember which one) and can't remember my exact dance.

But I still get excited with each sale

I did not dance. It was rather a realization that I can actually make the money.
It was 5 years back though. Long time.

That was a happy day. My first sale on Clickbank from articles on EZA. I figured that this article marketing worked, and I was making money. I am still waiting for the second one, o so many months later. I guess it was just a fluke. O well. Sooner or later I will figure it out and the sales will be on a daily basis.

Oh I definitely did the dance. I wasn't ecstatic about it though, it was just as if I had proved a point to myself that It worked and I was proud of myself for believing 'in myself'.

didn't give a damn about others anyway, but i did tell my friends I had begun to make money online.

    Great feeling isn't it.

It was over 7 years ago but I remember it like it was yesterday.

It was actually during a time when Clickbank sent emails to affiliates telling
them that they made a sale. Yeah, those were great days.

Anyway, I saw my first Clickbank email come in and I said, and I quote...

"Oh my God...I made a sale"

And I opened that email so fast, I felt the breeze from it. I then headed
over to my CB account (still use it to this day) and took a look at that
      HUGE dollar amount...

      $8.73.

      I was in affiliate heaven.

I ended up making 30 sales that month and had official become an
      affiliate marketer.

Ironically, today, I make more sales from my own products, but I still do
      some affiliate marketing.

I call it my mad money to go and have fun with.

First sale was $75 from an affiliate product, I did not know what I was doing just grab a product and promote it on facebook that was long ago. I was super happy that was the wake up call to let me know that you can make money from home

I don't remember my first sale, but I still do a "happy dance" whenever I make the first sale on a new product, affiliate sale, Adsense click or whatever the monetization is on a new site.

I never get tired of those first sales.

my first sale was smooth, i placed a good article on EZA in a good niche that got published at a good time (premium account) and stuck on the top 10 most recent list for like 4 or 5 hours durring "rush hour" and i made $250 that night. so my first day with a sale was actually also my first 6 or sales at once

i did no dance but i immediately closed my laptop and left my house. i figured i did good for the day and i deserved to take a break

I don't remember my first sale, but I've a feeling I just smiled, had a coffee or a beer and then got on with it, as that's my response to pretty much everything.

Not long after I realised that sales were going to be a regular thing, I set up an Outlook rule so that the PC would make a nice little noise not unlike that of a cash register whenever a mail with a certain subject line and sender dropped into my inbox (I can't remember whether it was PayPal's payment notification or eBay's sale mail - I was doing eBay at the time).

Overkill? Yup In those days though, the PC was in a corner of our kitchen/dining room, and so it meant that I could put the speakers on (I usually work and surf in silence, and all other sounds had been banished from the PC long since) and punctuate the monotony of cooking, cleaning and doing the dishes with little 'whoopee!' moments whenever a sale came in. Happy days

That got me laughing real loud.

I can only imagine the work you had put in and the anxiety you might have felt when you were starting. The break was really needed, and I'm sure you enjoyed it really well.
There's always a deep satisfaction inside you that comes with making a sale whether first or any other.

When i made my first sale online, i danced my heart out, i just couldn't control myself and there was absolutely nothing anybody could do to make me feel sad that day or even weeks to come for that matter.

Today, i don't dance that much but i'm always happy to prove to myself and friends that it's possible to make good money online.

I remember my first sale, I screamed with joy and did a little dance

But that's not all, I then ran around the house for about half an hour, it is one of the most amazing feelings in the world I must admit

The most fun and excitement I have ever had over $4.75
