I'm thinking of a few different titles for my upcoming product.

Which is more appealing to you?

$1000 in 7 days

$100 Dollar Day Blueprint

$100 Dollar Day Method

$100 Dollar Day Machine

Thanks!

They all look the same to me.

I'd go back to the drawing board and re-phrase in a way that really stands out from the rest.

We see titles like those all over the place, and I suspect a lot of people ignore them.

    I agree with Alexa.

And furthermore i've always found that people don't respond too well to the outrageous claims.

I know it's very possible to make $1000 in a week I've done it several times, but to beginners and such they will look at it as an outrageous unobtainable claim and more likely than not overlook it.

For some reason people like to see things that are fees-able in their minds. Like $400, $500 a week pops more than $1000. Not sure why people think like this but they do.

I also agree with Mr. Young they all seem incredibly similar

Alexa covered the 1st point I would have made. Another point is that, unless other marketers are your target audience, you're probably asking that question in the wrong place. I say that because most of us here have seen titles like that hundreds of times. They may work on the newbies, but for those of us that have been around the marketing block a few times, titles with income claims are a convenient way fur us to rule out reading more. It's not that we don't want to earn money, we just don't believe the claims.

These are the same titles one reads everday on several forums, and they usually contain the same rehashed methods. You need to think of something unique

Well, which is it? Am I gonna make 1,000 in 7 days or 700 in 7 days?

"$1000 in 7 days" sounds best. If this was for an email, this in the subject line would at least mean that I would read the email instead of just deleting it unread. Good luck!

Everyone that has posted before me has made some good points:

I agree with what Alexa said. Having a title ($XXXX in XX days) could possibly draw some attention from the FTC. I would be weary of using a title like that. It's sad because we all know that its possible to make that amount of money (or more) but unfortunately most people do not want to work that hard/smart to achieve it. So when it doesn't "work" for them, there will be a few that complain and since you state in your title that you can make $XXX in XX days the FTC might take notice of that.

And if you're planning to market this product to other IMers, I would change the title. It isn't because the titles aren't good, its just that we see them EVERYWHERE - from ebooks to courses to forum posts.

Avenuegirl made a good point as well. If you're going to use the $1,000 in 7 days that would mean that I could make a $1,000 every 7 days. But if you change it to $100 a day, I would only make $700 in 7 days. Just make sure that you have that straighten out to avoid any confusion.

    Hey Todd,

All previous replys are valid. Something to think about. But since much of that wasn't what you were asking about.

For me $1000 in 7 Days sounds best.

Good Luck with your product release!

    Hello Todd,

Alexa and Dennis made excellent points that I think you should seriously
    consider.

Perhaps a good approach would be to create a title that speaks more directly
to your target market. As Dennis said, you'll likely get no more than a passing
thought from people who have seen similar titles a million times. So that could
hurt you if your market includes more experienced marketers.

Another point to consider is those titles do nothing to grab anyone's attention
other than, as Dennis said, very new marketers who don't really know any better.
They're nondescript, and they blend in perfectly with all the marketing noise that
we can filter out very well. Obviously that's not the desired affect you're looking
    for.

Aside from the over-familiarity issue, it's difficult for a lot of marketers to take
those titles seriously. If you have a good product, and I'll assume it is, then it
really deserves something better. It at least deserves a title that will give it
a more reasonable chance of succeeding in the market.
