I have searched and searched for the answer to this since last night, but give up now. How can you put a camtasia flash video into a wordpress post? Seems like it should be easy, but wow, it sure isn't. I've downloaded about 5 plugins and none of them work. The closest thing I've found is this ... WordPress | Camtasia | SWF | Embed KnowledgeConstructs.com However, my camtasia html file is completely different than what's in their example. So I cannot seem to make this work either. At this point, I'm happy to buy something. I would just like the video AND the player in the post and that's where the problem seems to stem from. I can get just the video with autoplay, but I wanted the player along with it. I would be very grateful if someone can point me to a solution that works. Thanks, Lisa |

Lisa, I found a free one that works - did this in about 10 minutes start to finish (not the video itself - just getting in the plugin and putting the video in a post): Central Net Marketing - Test Video Plugin Here's the plugin I used: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/flash-video-player/ See if this one works for you. WP offers you the possibility to enter HTML into a post. Camtasia exports as html with flash embeded. All you need to do is copy from the html file exported by camtasia (everything between the <body> and </body> tags and paste it into the post. Also, make sure you have uploaded your video file(s) to your server and the paths are correct. I think that's it. Hope it helps, |

Mike, I downloaded the plug-in you recommended and it worked. That sure is a time-saver as it is very simple compared to many of the other options I have tried (including copying and pasting the code from the .html page, which from my experience is not that simple). So thank-you very much. I really appreciate the help. Sincerely, Lisa |

Cheers Mike that worked perfectly for me too. I was having formatting problems adding video to my blog but it now is easy to do - saved me loads of time and pain! If you want to see my blog post it explains how to put a new cool Tag Cloud into your blog which I think is pretty cool - the tag that is not my video! I'm not sure if this is a no-no for your plans, but you could always export the file as an mov and then just upload it to YouTube. Then you get the best of several worlds - easy embedding, smooth streaming, no extra bandwidth costs, extra exposure.
