Can someone explain this discrepancy?

INTERNET MARKETING

According to EzineArticles, a few articles that I've posted in the last week have a dozen or so clicks on my URL links...but the landing page shows no new hits from EZA (just 5 hits from 'direct').

Can someone explain why the numbers don't match up?

  This may be or not be ...
  
  Once, before I knew better, I advertised one of my sites
  to a popular surfing site.
  
  On that site I had adsense links which were clicked on
  while the surfers were still in the surfing frame.
  
  Google let me know that this was a No No.
  
  It will also not count if FFA is involved or other Free sites
  when clicked on in frames.
  Not sure if this could be or if I am even on target for your question,
  but I hope it helps.
