Clickbank - What is the better way...and something else...

Alright so I am looking into using clickbank as a surse of revenue. Should I become an affiliate and promote products or should I write my own product on a topic I am good at? Should I combine the two?

Also what should I watch for when I pick a product to promote?

Another thing I want to get in is CPA.

I'm gonna build a site where I will post magic videos with some of the best magic around and use CPALead to protect the content. I'm thinking about posting 3 different videos every day.
How many active visistors should I expect If a promote the page on twitter, youtube, forums and email marketing?

    Hey, Starting as a Clickbank affiliate is very easy and if you are effective at capturing traffic and a buyer audience in some way you can earn a healthy sum of $.

    In reference to your "Active Visitors" from facebook, twitter, those two networks are in some way dependent on your 'Followers' and user group base in fan pages / friends on facebook. Without people watching you as such you will get no traffic from the above sources. Twitter / Facebook promotion can be very effective if done correctly and if you want to access these sources of traffic begin building profiles / pages on both sites. Off the top of my head I cannot reference any Twitter sites where to find relevant followers / users whom are in the niche you are targeting but some Warrior here will.

    Forum traffic will depend how much you post and the quality of those posts. People need a good reason to visit the links in your signatures or profile. It is a very beneficial source of traffic I must say though.

    Email Marketing - Depends if you are building a list of subscribers yourself or using external resources e.g ViralUrl.com

    write my own product on a topic I am good at? if you are good at it and you can offer value try it..there are magic courses on clickbank...take a look what are they doing...and see if you could do what are they doing...you could sell that videos as a training...other marketers would just upload the videos and make money with adsense or asking for donation...you decide..

      You should use clickbank and create your own product. If you promote clickbank products make sure you register a domain name. You can then put a squeeze page on your website and capture the prospects name and e-mail address. After you capture the prospects e-mail address you can direct them to your clickbank affiliate link.

    I'd suggest start with a Clickbank product once you know the business and get the hang of it then you can create your own product based on your experience. Besides why loose time if you decided to create your own product its going to take time so while preparing your product you could still earn some commission from promoting Clickbank products.

    If you can drive enough traffic, then clickbank won't be the bad choice...

      Start by selling affiliate products and crating a free report or video to give away to people that subscribe to your site. That way you are going to build a list. Meanwhile, you can create your own product. Once it is ready, you can sell it to your subscribers, besides promoting it using other techniques.

    Unless you know how to drive traffic that converts it won't matter if you are trying to sell a product as an affiliate or your own product. For that reason I would focus on trying to learn as much as you can about traffic generation while selling products as an affiliate.

    Once you've mastered that particular task then you can move on to creating your own products. Of course, you will need to know how to create a responsive sales letter which is no easy task.

    Lots of stuff to learn but at the end of the day traffic generation is a main component for everything we do.

      Typically suggest using Clickbank (and other affiliate programs) to help you find the hottest sellers/topics within a given marketplace THEN use that information to turn out your own product.

      The ULTIMATE goal should be to create your own products - but since there is risk involved, there are systems we use to first research, build a list and test different affiliate products BEFORE we spend a few weeks creating our own products.
