Would this type of domain violate a trademark?

I am considering promoting a cpa offer and will build a website around it however I'm debating about the domain name.

Lets say that the cpa offer is a well known product like Blockbuster.com and I decide to get a domain called BlocbusterReviews.com.

Would this infringe on a trademark even if they don't have a policy against it? I know a lot of CPA offers don't allow you to do this.

I wouldn't do it. It makes you look cheap and you might get a cease and desist letter. I remember a few years ago a guy named "Mike Rowe" purchased "mikerowesoft.com" for use with his software company... He had to hand it over to Microsoft, of course...

How is that even possible? He was using his own name and just added "soft" to the end of it.

Just because they sound the same, Microsoft should not be able to come after him for it because the spelling isn't even close to the same.

Since when can you trademark a sound? (excluding music and stuff like that)

Not saying the story isn't true, but I'd think there has to be something he could have done about it.

Aside from whether the CPA network allows it or not, chances are the company in question would frown on it. They may or may not ever take notice of it, but how would you feel if it was successful and making money then all of a sudden you had to shut it down because they did?

Better to start out on solid ground, in my opinion.

Not worth it. If the CPA network doesn't have rules against it, the trademark holder can send a cease and desist or even sue if they want to.

No don't do it. You can search the forum for this as its been asked a whole lot lately. Basically why would you risk Blockbuster for example, coming after you and taking your website domain because you infringed on their trademark/copyright/what have you ??
