Facebook Thumbs up as a bribe?

I wondered if anyone was using this tactic, on this site ( Lease Option PowerPlays - 5 Lease Option Powerplays ) i signed up and it took me to a page similar tot he one below.
Lease Option PowerPlays - prethanks
It then offered a bonus in exchange for a thumbs up which is then posted to facebook as me linking it.
Does anyone know how to create this and whether it is effective?
