I finally got off my ass, sucked it up, and bought a domain/hosting. I was constantly reading, and in turn getting a tremendous amount of information overload. I know the basics, and finally decided to take ACTION. Now to just set it up, and monetize it. I will be going the micro-niche blog way. Found a product in clickbank to promote, and am finally going to get started after roughly a year of sitting idle and "waiting for the right time". So.. With that said.. Here goes.

Congratulations! You've done what most won't, already.

My bet: It was a LOT easier to get started than you might have thought, yes?

Ouch..registering a domain isn't really taking action. People do that all the time. I don't mean this in a negative way either. Good for you! You have actually done something.

Just be prepared to do a HELL OF A LOT MORE now you've got a website.

    -) content creation
    -) traffic generation
    -) monetization
    -) testing

..on and on and on. Lots of work is usually involved.

Well done though, and good luck!! Keep us posted.

Brian, it feels as though a HUGE weight has been lifted off of my shoulders simply by choosing a niche, and purchasing a domain name.. From here out, I can set it up, fix it, set it up again, fix it again. The first step is always the hardest as they say. I feel as though I just took that first step, and as weird as it sounds.. It's incredibly liberating. Thank you all for the well wishes.

Wish you all the luck in the world! Don't forget about the second worst 'condition' to information overload: lack of commitment. Don't start another website until this one is rolling.

I understand that, completely. Just getting something MOVING is the way to start.

Now keep putting that action in to play. Test your results, make changes, etc...

I'll have to respectfully disagree Damien. Now that I took action to buy the domain. I have no choice but to work to fill it up. I won't just let it sit there obviously. So that to me was a huge step. Perhaps it is different for everyone.

No, as your first website you have made a lot of progress from being a reader, to being a doer. I assume there was far more in this than simply registering a domain.

You had to research your niche, research the competition, find a few products you could promote and dive in! That's more than most will do, but I have also seen many people lose interest. I really hope you throw everything you got at it and make it work for you. I really do.

Success is a choice and that choice is to work harder than you ever have in your entire life.

Good advice D. I don't plan on doing anything else with another website until I get comfortable fixing this one over and over until it is where I want it to be.

      Congratulations!

It's easy to get distracted by the abundance of info. I've been doing this since 2006 but didn't discover this forum until December of last year. I swear I didn't get any work done for a few weeks, I just sat here and read through the treads, sucking up the info.

That's why I still haven't joined the war room. I'm afraid I won't get any work done for a month! Since IM is my full time job, that would be a bad thing.

      All the best to you...
