This might work better for you. It allows you to upload images and have the posts use a random thumbnail from the uploaded pics.

Wordpress Plugin: Hungred Post Thumbnail - Hungred Dot Com

You can also have it use specific images if need be.

Right on Dennis! I'll give it a spin. I installed 'Get the Image' a few minutes ago, but presume it (and all other plugs..) will only ad the thumbs upon the initial feed? Oh well, either way it's a just a quick click of a button.

      Thanks again.

Trust me... it works and very well. I had dig to find this plugin to solve my clients problems of either not knowing how or just not wanting to manually add images when they were using a theme with featured images/post thumbnails in combo with autoblogging software.

Hey Dennis, i have a few quick questions you maybe able to help me streamline thru.

For the most part the plug is very straight forward, however i'm a a bit confused in this section:Hungred Thumbnail Upload Section

So the first 3 upload options i understand, the last "This upload will append a hpt_ to marked as normal" what's that mean in plain English?

Also, will the automatic thumbnail posting only apply to fresh feeds? Is it possible to create thumbs from posts already posted? (using the default pic i choose and or images posted inside of each post?)

      Thanks!

      p.s.

So be fore I actually jump the gun with my 'understanding' here.So the
'Thumbnail Default Image' will be used when there is no pic available in the post? How does this differ from the 'Thumbnail Loading Image' option? Sorry for being such a noob...

I'll have to get back to you on this one later. I'm not sure if this one is good or not. I just upgraded to WordPress 3.0 RC and can't access the settings on this plugin. Not a good sign. I guess I will have to keep looking.

I contacted a WordPress Theme Developer to see if he knew of any similar plugins. All the other plugins I found only added the function to allow you to upload post thumbnails directly in the post editor. If I was a programmer I would develop the plugin myself, as I know there would be a huge market for it given the number of autoblogging plugins that are available.

Ok. This is seriously peaking my curiosity. I am determined to find the solution for this. I know its out there. I have found several that might be potential solutions... but I need to test them out first.

I will be tied up this weekend with other projects. Monday I will be diving deeply into this to figure this out. I will update you once I have found the solution.

I will be testing them all on both 2.9.2 and 3.0 to see which ones will work on the new version of WordPress. It is also possible that once WordPress releases 3.1 or 3.0.1 or whatever they call the first patch upgrade it may fix the Hungred problem... which at this point is your best option.

Does anyone has any experience with FeedWordPress? I have some issues and I have emailed the developer but no response.
