if your affiliate program rips you off where can you report it?

Hi

I am sure many of us have been there. We promote a product get some Comm's $$$ only to wait and wait for the payment that never comes.

I sold software for a women and had about $2,000 in comm's owed. I waited 3 months for the payment day then was told by her everyone refunded....NEVER heard this before and funny thing was I contacted her a week before about the payment and she said everything was ok for the payment.

I then got in touch with 5 buyers. Three got back and said they never refunded....so i was ripped off.

Then I ask around about this women and her bizz and was told by a few she is scam.

So..where do I report this? It's not right we should simply "chalk it down to experience and move on..etc" I mean if I stole from a shop would they simply shrug their shoulders and "chalk it down to experience?" No way. And neither should we.

I d ont want to wage a war but I do want to report this scam. Any places I can do this?

I am starting to get really jaded working online. Seems to be scams everywhere I turn. I have to seriously think about taking some bizz offline to save my soul.

Thank you

Have you considered approaching her payment processor? I can't imagine they would be too happy being associated with someone acting like this.

You could also try fellow Warrior, Mary Murtha, who I believe has a "wall of shame" site for this kind of thing.

I would guess the most productive thing though would be to send a letter from a lawyer threatening to sue. A lot of thieves like her tend to fold at that point in my experience.

I think it's a good idea to get that kind of news out. It might even get you a bit of leverage getting your money. Here's another link to help, this one is at the Blake Board.
