which ping sites are the most "efficient" ones?

INTERNET MARKETING

there are so many ping sites out there. should I use them all? or, just some?

usually, I used yahoo, simply because I can ping the url directly. any other sites that I should use?

You can use pingomatic. That's the main one that a lot of webmasters use.

  I'll say pingomatic or pingoat since they also suppose to ping other ping services as well.

Is there not a negative effect if you ping too often i.e using several services at once?

  If you're pinging the same services then it could cause you problems but not all ping services ping the same places.

A site I like to use if I don't feel like using my pinger and I need to do multiple pages is PingDevice

It pings pingomatic for all the links you enter.
